“Another wonderful stay.”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 15, 2012

My husband and myself have just returned after our 9th stay at this hotel. Yes --- this hotel is badly in need of refurbishment and updating, but we love it. What it lacks in luxurious surroundings, is more than made up for by the excellent food and wonderful staff, who without exception, cannot do enough for you. We had our 8 year old grandaughter with us (this was her second stay), and she was spoilt rotten. Our special thanks to Guyan, Malika and Hur. This was the first time that we did not visit the Resorst whilst staying, as even our grandaughter said it was too noisy and busy there. I think the restaurant there is more comparable to a Butlins canteen, with children running around, and quite a lot of noise. This hotel is much more peaceful, and it is lovely to relax in the lounge in the evenings having a quiet drink with an excellent pianist playing.
By the way, I believe the children referred to in an earlier review were "local" children, who are obviously not disciplined, and the hotel can hardly be blamed for this!
Just one thing that would make our stay even more enjoyable ---- as we are always staying on All Inclusive, PLEASE could we have a snack lunch at the Pool Bar, instead of having to go up to the restaurant?
We shall be back.

Dear fleur24,

Thank you very much for your review, we shared all the constructive feedback for our continuous improvement including the comment about the condition of the hotel.

Of course we shared with Malika, Gyana and Hur that the way they served you was exemplary!
I am sure it will motivate them as well as their colleagues to continue the great service they provide to every guest.

I hope to see you again in the near future for another stay with us

Kind regards,

My wife and I live in Dubai and were looking for a weekend break and decided to stay for two nights 31st May - 2nd June at the Ras Al Khaimah Hilton - not to be mixed up with the Hilton Resort and Spa, Ras al Khaimah. It was probably one night too long!
Check in was a fairly slow affair and we were given a room not overlooking the creek or pool, on the hotel shady side. It felt as if it had not been used for some time and the constant 'wind tunnel noise' - which only stopped when you opened the door - was too much. We were (eventually) moved to a similar room on the same floor but with a partial creek view and with sunlight through the window. better but not by much.
The rooms are a fair size but the furniture does have a dated feel to it, as do the bathrooms which should be modernised.
The first afternoon was spent at the hotel poolside and the attendent (Hur) was very attentative in ensuring we had a parasol to protect us from the direct sun. The pool is a good size and the views across the creek as the sun sets is very nice.
It was very noticeable that there were many people present who were on an All Inclusive (AL) basis and wearing Blue wristbands to show this and the beer to be had was 'Tuborg cans' by the poolside (no thanks).
The choice was resturants was limited to two and the main buffet resurant is more like a canteen. The ambience is poor; the dress code allows anything to go (despite it saying differently) and the hustle and bustle, in fact noise, just too much too bear.
A member of staff came around on an evening and provided you with additional bottled water and shampoo etc if you needed them. Nice touch.
Breakfast is a forgetable experience, simply not enjoyable. It reminded me of an old Butlins holiday camp with small children, still in their pyjamas running freely around the whole of the resturant screaming and shouting whilst their parents did nothing to prevent it. The food was only satisfactory and got this grading only because of the live cooking staion where you could get a nice omellette cooked. The staff appeared bored and despite the efforts of Gayan ( he was the most helpful), some were quite rude and could not raise a smile (Malika).
The coach that takes you to the Hilton resport beach Club is to be avoided if at all possible. It is an old bus (not coach) and the short journey would not be a unpleasant one. We drove our own car. The Hilton Resort and Spa is a different world in terms of the facilities that it offers and deserves it 5 star rating. Please note that drinks are very expensive here and if not on an All inclusive basis, it will soon mount up. The Spa does get very busy and we found ourselves having to search for a sun bed.
After a pleasant day at the Hilton Spa resort, we returned to the Hilton Creek and I had the intention of enjoying a few quiet moments in the lounge reading the newspapers. Alas, I found children playing football inside the hotel in front of the lifts - unchecked - and so my hope for peace and quiet were dashed.
We decided to eat out on the second night such was our disappointment on the first night.
Breakfast on the second morning was a repeat of the first night and truly is a poor affair. Malika still did not manage a smile when serving us although she seemed to have some favourites whom she looked after.
Attempts to read the morning papers were again dashed by small children noisily hitting the keys on the lounge piano, making a terrible din. The intervention - on demand - on the hotel management only brought about a short respite and very soon it was happening again.
Too much, we checked out well before 12 noon and took a pleasant drive back to Dubai.
All in all, this Hotel is past its best and is not a good representative of the Hilton brand. It is spoilt by the unchecked behaviour of noisy children; outdated room furniture and fittings; drab resturant facilities and some staff members who need to recognise the terms quality of service.

Room Tip: One with a Creek/pool view.

We booked a 7 night all inclusive stay at the Hilton Ras Al Khaimah. At first we were unsure as the location was in excess of 100 KM from Dubai down the coast past Ajman & Umm Al Quwain. But soon after reaching we were pleasantly surpised. Although the Hilton was an old property it was an excellent choice. In addition there was the beach club 5 minutes from the hotel and guests were ferried there every 20 minutes. The rooms & bathroom were quite large and decorated to a high standard. The Lobby and main lounge were a pleasant place to pass some time as were the main restaurant. Breakfast, lunch and dinner were excellant and we also had the choice of having lunch & drinks at the beach club where all the facilities pool etc were equally good. The main pool at the Hilton was also good and as guests could spend time here and also at the beach club neither was ever crowded.

The staff could not do enough to please the guests and service was always to a high standard.

All in all our stay was a very memorable one, and I can honestly recommend this hotel. The only down side was the long transfer from Dubai airport, but once reaching and seeing all the facilities available it was well worth the long ride.

We returned from a 10 night stay in September, our second visit, and we're in the process of booking our third.

As I have said in my previous reviews, yes, it's not the most modern hotel, but what it lacks in comtemporary design, it more than makes up for in service.

The service here is second to none, nothing is too much trouble for anyone and every member of staff goes out of their way to go the extra mile to ensure all guests experience an excellent service! Thank you all very much!

We arrived late at night and were pleased to be checked in quickly and easily with the usual warm welcome and there were platters of food/drinks waiting for us in our room. The rooms are a good size with 2 double beds and everything else you would expect to find in a hotel room including fridge and air con.

Food is plentyful and tasty and great to try so many new dishes. The chefs really are top notch. They are also happy to accomodate you if you request something not on the menu. The drinks on AI are all branded. The only draw back on the AI package is you are not allowed to eat at the pool bar at the hotel (but can at the beach resort) not sure why this is?

The hotel runs regular shuttles to the beach club and Dubai. The beach club is great but we're always glad to get back to the quiet relaxed atmosphere of the creek hotel.

There is also a new Hilton just accross the road where we enjoyed some rooftop drinks a few nights. It is a little difficult to cross the road to get there but there may be a crossing there by now.

There is a mall nearby if you want to shop but really the day trip to Dubai is best for this.

All in all, a fantastic experience again and we can't wait to go back!

Room Tip: Rooms to the back of the hotel are quieter.

We stayed for one night last week. The hotel is badly in need of refurbishment and updating. The furniture was dated, and the rooms did not have a balcony. The contrast was very great from the RAK Hilton Resort, a lovely hotel which we had just stayed in.
This hotel does have a nice pool, and is more centrally located in RAK, with many places to see. However, I would not recommend it for holiday makers.

Dear Lovetravel061,

Please accept my sincere apologies regarding your comment about the hotel condition.

As you have seen, Hilton Ras Al Khaimah is not the latest addition to the Hilton portfolio. We have taken note of your feedback regarding the facilities of the hotel and will not hesitate to use it for future facility upgrade plans.

The team and I hope that despite your disappointment on this occasion, the hotel will have the opportunity to welcome you back to our hotel sometime in the near future.

I spent ten days in February with my two children.
Room was clean, restaurant buffet selection was rich and appealing.
The hotel is not on the sea. A courtesy bus takes you every hour to the Hilton Resort and SPA in 5 minutes and all the facilities were availale for free both at the swimming pools and on the beach.
Good solution for a "value for money" holiday!

We were placed in this hotel last minute as previously booked hotel being refurbished. I was very pleased to see that this was not a resort hotel as I have mobility problems and cannot walk far or climb stairs. All the staff at this hotel were helpful and courteous at all times and made my stay they most enjoyable. Thankyou.
