My husband and I visited Chernivtsi last year in September, it was our first trip to this city. Walking along the streets we started to look for some nice place to eat and in particular we were looking for ukrainian food, as we thought that being in Bukovina would be strange to eat sushi or pizza offered all around. It was not easy, but finally we found this restaurant with a typical name "Gopachok". Outside it is not outstanding at all but the interior design makes this place very cosy and inviting. The menu is quite extensive and offers a large number of traditional ukrainian dishes for reasonable prices. We ordered a chicken stuffed with spinach, smashed potato and beef with cherry sauce and everything was so so delicious and especially pickles which they make by themselves and of course the menu is not limited to this dishes. Our bill was around 200UAH per 2 persons including some drinks. Highly recommend you to visit this place if you want to try traditional cuisine and feel ukrainian hospitality.
