I was fortunate enough to be able to eat at Kwinto twice on my last trip to Chernvitsi in April 2012. We ate inside both times and not out on the patio, even thought the weather was hot I prefer the air conditioning inside.
The restaurant itself is pub style with booths and tables. Being slightly subterranean it is a little dark. Like alot of restaurants in Ukraine smoking is permitted, not sure if there was a non-smoking area. The service was excellent, when the waiter heard my accent he immediately brought me a menu in English. The menu, by the way is quite extensive.
I always enjoy the food here. My first meal here this time, we had an appetizer which included dark bread, pickled garlic, pickes and the Ukrainian delicacy of salo, which is spiced pork fat I believe. Usually I pass on that but this time it was very tasty. For my main course I had to order the shyshlyk, which came with grilled vegetables. All very delicious. They have alot of different beers on tap and we ordered Leffe with our meal. I had just discovered this beer in Belguim the week before but it seems to be a favorite throughout Europe. For dessert we all shared some tiramisu. All very good.
The second time we came for lunch in between my ten course breakfast and suppers at my relatives, so I though I better eat light. I ordered the Hetman's salad which actually turned out to be quite filling. This was a grilled salad which included asparagus and black beans. Possibly one of the best salads I have ever had.
All in all there is really nothing I can fault this restaurant for and it is always on my list when I visit Chernvitsi.
