We booked this higher-priced hotel as this was our first night in Uganda and we wanted tp make sure of a good experience. However, subsequent accommodation used in Entebbe during our six days there demonstrated to us that it was not good value at $150 for a double room.
The room was pleasant and looked onto the small garden, but there were holes in the mosquito net and other aspects that needed refurbishment. The shower water was very cold. There is quite a difference between the standard of the rooms shown on the hotel's website and the reality on the ground, presumably because of deterioration over the passage of time. The hotel was very quiet and there appeared to be only one other room occupied, but the owner (Peace) told us it is mainly used by transient people who arrive late and leave early. In fact she told us the reason they are building the large extension which actually blocks the "airport view" (see photo for details) is that they have more bookings than they can cope with and (as other reviewers have mentioned), often have to deflect bookings to other hotels.
The pickup from the airport was efficient and easy, by a pleasant driver. However the hotel is in one of the poorest areas of Entebbe and roads are potholed and dusty, with the environment not at all the pleasantest in the town.
Regarding food we did not really have a good time here. At breakfast we received boiled eggs that were dark green/black inside. The staff were watching closely (half-expecting the eggs to be bad?) and quickly whisked them away. At dinner (outside on a pleasant terrace) we ordered starters and main courses. We waited about 40 minutes and then both arrived at once, no more than just warm. The beef stir fry was tasty but the battered Tilapia fish was very odd (and we later had many better examples to compare it with).
When we left, there was a problem after the bill had been presented and paid (at exactly the amount we expected) but then while we waited for the change, the man on reception decided to tell us that actually he needed to charge us more because of various apparently spurious reasons. The owner did eventually come and intervene and give us our full amount of change, with over-lengthy apologies and protestations that she needed to be everywhere all the time in order to check up on her staff!
We found that you can get equal value and service in Entebbe by staying at an establishment that is half or even one third of the price.
