“happy weekend”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 13, 2012

we stayed with friend group for weekend. First of all hotel has really nice rooms.Service is really good . Sepcially I really like the organization of restaurant. it is really classic.
SPA is not so big. But quality is really good. only one thing is really important due to wet it is really easy to fall down. there are also small but nice lobby bar.

We spent three days for an extended weekend retreat. The building and rooms are very nice looking, although a bit kitsch as one reviewer noted. Rooms are spacious, comfortable and clean. It is a plus that you may use the thermal water in your room's bath. The meals are above average for a five-star hotel. The personnel are allways attentive and welcoming. We have spent most of the time in the pool/spa area. Except a few minor flaws (the sauna was too humid, at crowded times pool side should be cleaned more frequently, the outside pool's mosaic tiling is coming off slowly, the massage services were a bir slpadash as one reviewer pointed, etc) it was very nice. We plan to go there again and recommend it to others...

Room Tip: Rooms on the back side have a better / forrest view. The first floor rooms have a little balcony. Th...

2 of 5 stars Reviewed January 30, 2012

We spent 2 nights with some friends and their children in January 2012. The hotel may be the best and maybe the only decent place to stay in the Termal area but it is hardly worth the price.

The building is a nice, graceful mansion in well manicured gardens. I have to hand it to the owners for a careful restoration and amenities but the decor is a case study on kitch. Gold and silver gild, pearls, swarowski crystals, velvet on everthing including the telephones.

The rooms are large enough and clean. Beds and pillows comfortable, towels plush but the rooms were very chilly when we arrived on a very cold day. Apparently no one remembered to turn up the heating for the arriving guests.

The staff were helpful and hard working but lacking the type of congeniality and ready smiles you come to expect from a 400$/night hotel staff.

The restaurant is in a separate building reachable with a labyrinth-like tunnel that passes through the spa/pool area. This tunnel makes sure that you freeze every time you walk to your room from the pool or the spa.

The treatments in the Spa are plenty but the Spa lacks a rest area and the tratment itself was a little slapdash.

The food was plenty but not 5 star quality.

The deal breaker for us was a crowded conference group that arrived on our second day. I never can understand why a hotel that calls itself Boutique accepts conference groups.

If you absolutely must go to Yalova Termal which has lost all of its appeal thanks to terrible looking hotels, motels etc.in the area, Limak Boutique Hotel is probably the only decent place to stay but I would not reccomend going to Yalova for this Hotel like we did.

We spent three days from 2nd till 5th of January 2012 to relax and be away from everything: Limak Thermal Boutique Hotel fully satisfied our needs. Personnell very careful and kind, both in hotel services, restaurant and in the termal pool. Great architecture and beautiful restoration of the ancient hotel.
We fully recommend this Hotel!

Beautiful place, excellent and very functional accommodations with each room having its story and decor. Unfortunately we were there off-season (mid October) on a business trip to Yalova so service was very reduced. Breakfast and diner of far inferior quality than the resort itself.... There were a couple of families with kids screaming and running around (uncontrolled by the parents) at the restaurant, bar, spa, etc.
So avoid low season if possible ...

This was by far the best hotel we have ever stayed in - and we have stayed in many 5 star hotels in our time.

The hotel is absolutely beautiful. Magnificently restored to historical perfection (it was a summer guest house used by Ataturk), we felt like we were staying in a palace. Every detail in the rooms, from the toilet brush holder to the telephone to the tissue box was a work of art.

The baths were very relaxing, and the massage team very professional. I had a relaxing massage by a lovely Balinese therapist.

The hotel price included breakfast and dinner - the breakfast was by far the best we have had anywhere. The dinner was also to die for. A rich buffet of traditional Turkish food cooked to perfection.

The service was flawless. They went out of their way to make our stay perfect, and it was. We were there in the off season, so pretty much had the place to ourselves. A must experience hotel if heading to this part of the world.

Room Tip: The rooms are all beautiful!
