“Great holiday - shame about the bankcruptcy thing!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 22, 2010

My girlfriend & I arrived at the hotel last Thursday in the early hours (just as the sun started to rise) and were dealt with quite efficiently by 2 friendly but clearly tired staff who were expecting us and another couple. Our room was on the 4th floor and had a decent view. The room was sparse but looked clean & tidy with only a couple of things that needed a little 'fixing up' (the wall around the door had clearly taking a beating).

Our attempts at catching up with some sleep on the first day was a little broken due to regular door banging, this could be improved upon by better fitting doors or dampers as it did seem quite impossible to close them quietly.

The Hotel was well situated being very close to the bus route (Number 3) and 5 mins walk away from lots of shops, bars & restaurants in the area - far enough away from these not to be continuously blasted away by the loud & competing music from those bars. The pool was lovely as was the planting/flowers; the dining area & outdoor seating, there were a good number of sunbeds and these appeared to be well looked after.

On the whole, our stay at the hotel was very good, most of the staff were generally friendly and helpful, my only significant bugbear being that one of them (Jack I think) was quite pushy in his suggestions that we stay at the hotel to eat......... the reason for this became apparent when we were chatting to 'Jack' who said that the Hotel was only being paid £2.00 per night by Goldtrail who had promised to fill the hotel with guests that would eat & drink there, thereby providing them with more income.

We had 2 'hiccups', the first one being the news of Goldtrail's demise which cost us 2 trips that we had already paid for and resulted in an additional cost to our holiday of £80.00 (for 4 nights stay) as the hotel manager would not accept the statement from the CAA. The other was the lack of a breakfast one morning when we arrived in the dining area with 10 minutes to spare, only to be left unattended until I asked for breakfast and was told that it had finished-bang out of order! We did go to a bar close by and I had a very good English breakfast for only 5TL (approx £2.20), my girlfriend had a Turkish breakfast, which was slightly more expensive but was better than the more basic but adequate breakfast normally provided by the Hotel.

We paid very little for our holiday, apart from the obvious additional costs & spending money, and had a fabulous time - the hotel was comfortable and an absolute bargain for the amount paid. We would certainly have another holiday at this hotel.

This is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in. To start our room was in the attic had to walk around bent over most of time ceilng too low, toilet leaking, waiter tried to fix it but didint work leaked all week and the bathroom smelled disgusting (drains) no window to open, door out to balcony was suitable for someone who is 4ft tall, air con fan on balcony so couldnt sit outside. Room was not cleaned all week, towels there when we arrived was stained and only changed once, bed not changed all week. Shower soaked the floor in bathroom shower curtain not long enough.
Breakfast is Turkish, not our choice ,extra charge for full english, breakfasts was cheaper down road from hotel.
3 star rating hotel but should have been 1 to 2 star.
However, the day before we were due home travel comp. Gold Trail went into receivership, and hotel owner was very helpful in making sure we got our transfers to get to airport.

As soon as we arrived we got charged £50 for air conditioning and safe for 1 week! The room was okay, clean enough, the shower was a tray so the water kept spilling over the bathroom floor, i've never seen a shower head so full of scum and limescale, so don't open your mouth! The sheets were cleaned once whilst we were there and there was no change of towels and we kept having to ask for toilet roll! The staff were pushy, slimey and made you feel as though you needed a pass to get out at night, it got to a point where we just made a run for it! The 'hotel' is expensive in regards to drinks and food, 14 lira for 2 bottles of heineken!!!! When you buy food or drink in the hotel, pay as soon as because if you don't they will put allsorts on your bill. Breakfast consisted of 2 slices of cucumber, 3 slices of tomato, 1 boiled egg, 1 piece of cheese, 1 bit of butter and 3 olives!! Mmmm - just grab a coffee and eat elsewhere!! The pool was great and sunbeds but the blokes used to hassle you even then!! If you stand your ground from day one, they tend to leave you alone by the end of your stay. The location is a bit out of the way but Dolmus are worth there weight in gold!!! I would go back to Marmaris but not to this 'hotel'. If you walked out of the hotel and turned left and walked up the hill there was some great hotels and only £15 per night per room. Great holiday but not so keen on the men and would have changed the 'hotel' if I'd have known. I'd be every more wary if I went with a few girls - the men are not to be trusted!

Ended up there, thankfully for just 1 night, as Goldtrail (another tale altogether) managed to move us to the Konak Apartments - we had originally booked the Villa Sol Apartments, which were fully booked, when we arrived there, so they pushed us onto the Ladik Park - who puty 3 of us in a single room, on a B&B basis - whereas we'd booked a Self-Catering Apartment. Slimy Turkish guys swarm all over you, don't want you to leave their hotel at all. NOT recommended as a place to stay, at all.

the ladik is a beautiful hotel with stunnin views, the pool is excellent, and the staff very friendly the food tasty the breakfast was a little greasy, but once mentioned they did sort it out, me n my son arrived early and i liked the hotel rite away, the rooms are always cleaned, but! unfortunatly they didnt put on much entertainment in the evening as i think this was down to the fact there was not alot of guest staying there at the time so we went down the beach front and they fully understood, we had our evening meals there which were very good.Ahmed was a sweet guy always helpful and friendly, musti was a young guy could'nt speak much english but always had a big smile for you,Adam was the owner he was nice enough you didnt see him much but wen you did he was always friendly n chatty, and then there was Jack, well wat can i say....very much like me,a flirt,a joker,up for a laff, easy on the eye too.mmm nice if uve never been turkey b4 then dont be alarmed if u get chatted up alot,or if they appear to be "over friendly" its not sleazy if your prudish then go cornwall....turkey has alot of high testosterone men personally i loved it.the only downfall was the lack of entertainment at the hotel, but overall very good!!

We went to ladik park ın July. The staff were really nice and helpful. The hotel was very clean and ın a good location away from the noise of the beach but you can catch the dolmus just outside down to the town centre and only takes about 5 mins . There was a staff show every night and other entertainment to be honest we didnt want to leave the hotel at night. We had a fantastic holiday and we will definately be back next year!
