“It's what you make it”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed September 18, 2013 via mobile

Before arriving I was really worried after reading the reviews on here. We arrived around midnight on the 30th Aug and straight away was at ease with how helpful the reception staff were ( smiling and being polite actually works ) we were a party of ten ranging in ages from 7 to 58. We were helped to our rooms straight away and didn't have to lift a case, we stayed on the ground floor in b block.
The rooms as expected were not the best but they were spacious and had clean beds and a shower ( we do not go on holiday to stay in the rooms ) going for breakfast on the first morning we realised quickly that if you weren't in there early for food then you'd be left with scraps, to be honest when we wanted breakfast we went to Diana's just down the road as it was £1 for a full breakfast they also served the best cup of coffee. The pool area is great with plenty of seating areas, we stayed by the large pool where the entertainers are, the boys played lots of good music British and Turkish and got as many people involved in their games daily, I really want to praise irfan, jay jay, efe and Ahmet they really made the holiday ( some people were complaining before about the entertainment team but our kids young and old had a great time they were always whiling to help with a anything if they could ) so a massive thank you to them.
Food in the restaurant was hit and miss but we always found something to eat, but again you need to be in there early and be prepared to be pushed as lots of other nationalities do not know how to queue, we learnt to treat them like they treat you and not care. If I had to complain about one thing then it would be the restaurant it needs more organisation and control of greed as we saw so much food going to waste where certain nationalities would pile their plates and not even finish half of it, also the hotel needs to supply the whole occupancy not the lucky ones that were first in the restaurant as on too many occasions they ran out of the dish that you fancied. There is a market right outside the hotel every tues where you can pick up some bargains, the beach is about 500m away, we went on 2 boat trips whilst on holiday and would recommend the Mega Diana.
After speaking to other guests we seemed to be in the same understanding, the hotel is what you make it, be polite and smile and you get the same back, the only people we saw sleeping in reception were drunk people, take or buy bigger cups for the drinks but realise they'll be warm by the time you get to the bottom, the entertainment team are great, there is food that you can eat in the restaurant, and overall be realistic with the price you pay for the hotel, if you want luxury then pay the price.
Would I go back yes I would, we had a fantastic time.

I visited this hotel from the 16th-30th august about 5am and was shown to our room within 20mins luckily to c block! no faults with our room whatsoever, and was given 2nd floor pool view :) I came with my best friend, my dad and my nan. Both of us being 17 we didn't spend much time with my family but I know that they had a different opinion than us. We were so anxious after reading the reviews on here, but we listened to tip of bringing plastic pint glasses as they came in handy and also did not let cleaners in our room after complaints of theft, so we just got clean towels and toilet rolls when the trolley was in our corridor. We had an absolutely brilliant time and met some amazing people English, Turkish, Lithuanian, polish etc. We found whoever you were friendly too, the majority were friendly back (unless you were in the dining room where it was like war between nationalities) we did witness a few big disagreements, some which ended up physical. With the food you get what you paid, which for us was about £200 each week for the hotel all inclusive which is nothing. There are plenty of nearby restaurants English, Italian, thai, plus there is a mcdonalds, burger king and dominos all nearby. The entertainment team take a coach to bar street every night at 11 and return at 3, but if you want to soak up the last of the party a taxi is 25 (£8/9) lira back to the hotel. I would recommend clubs galleon, areena, b52 and backstreet garden. The music is soo good if you're young and into RnB, they play new stuff and the old ones you thought you forgot.. we did not stop dancing! Drinks are expensive £7 per cocktail or more for vodka and mixer, but theres usually some type of b.o.g.o.f deal and you get free shots if you dance on the bar male or female lol. We drank before we went out, but we did find the vodka was watered down at the hotel. After nights out drinking we came back to the hotel hungry, but theres a 24 hour fast food café on site or two kebab places about 100m away, which are both reasonable. The waiters and bar staff some were unpleasant but most were lovely and happy to help, such as Erol. The younger guy in the hotel shop is very good and helped me get back to the hotel one night from the strip when I lost my friends, so thank you for that! But the entertainment team were fab and always full of energy, I don't know how they do it! our favourites were ahmet, efe and jay jay. Three pools 2 outdoor 1 indoor but WARNING do not jump into the pool at night when the old security guy is around as he will try charge you 600 lira, even though theres no sign saying not to. Theres a kids entertainer, pool games and dances, shows at night for families not sure how much more there is. I would recommend the boat trip for definite such a good day out and a refreshing break from looking at the pool all day, we also had the best meal of the holiday on there although it was just chicken, pasta and salad. So basically if you're not stuck up and can accept you get what you pay for, if you're polite to other guests and staff, are patient with your rooms because they will move you until you're content, and look past the irrelevant faults then you should enjoy your holiday. Because we sure did and are looking to return next year!

Room Tip: c block seemed to have the best rooms

Ok. Iv read lots of reviews before going and lots after.
I travelled with a friend we arrived very early morning and were put in the attick. It was clean ans tidy. But tiny I had to bend down to walk across the room as I am tall my friend is short and thought it was cute but not when your 5"8 and wearing heels on top. I went 2 reception and explained the girl laughed and said you are tall. She could not move us until the next morning but it wasn't a problem. We then moved to the 3rd floor which was beter as the lifts should come with an enter at own risk sign lol (we stuck to the stairs). Our friend was staying next to a lift and heard people stuck in it every night. Crazy....but quite funny.
The food..... It was clean and fresh but not my taste and was a school cantine. You has to fight your way in for food then try and find a seat. Then you had to que for a drink which could take a while. then once finished felt like you had to leave straight away to give some1 else a seat. But all the restaurants around are lush and cheap.
The cleaner came every day but ther was no pattern to when she would come any time between 9 and 7
The pool area was lush clean and spacious. 3 large pools all bussy we stayed at the main pool where the entertainment was they made the hotel. So friendly funny and cheeky they included every1. I never join in pool games on holl except this 1. They were fab with the kids having them help with the games and selling hotel t shirts they made sure every1 knew what was on offer beach parties through the day beach parties on sat night bar street every other night after the hotel entertainment finished don't no when they slept but they worked hard. Also quite protective making sure every1 who wanted 2 go home after a beach party or bar street got back on the bus. Especially the girls.
We heard about the guys trashing the hotel it would of been scary but you get scum bags every where you go the staff were all polite to us
We made lots of friends here and all said the same hotel nice food not good entertainment fab I would come back but not all inclusive

where do I start? Arrived at hotel to be told we had to wait for our room to be 'cleaned'. Reception staff very rude. Our room was absolutely disgusting. The bathroom was awful. No shower tray just a 'wet' room although not to get wet. Everything was covered in mould!
We were travelling as two single people yet we only had a double bed to share. Asked the gent who showed us to our room for a single bed and got ignored for our entire stay.
Air conditioning was the worst - didnt work half the time and had a mind of its own. Was taped to the wall right above our heads and made awful noises so we were unable to sleep. Unacceptable, this hotel doesnt even deserve 1 star! Our balcony faced a rubbish tip which also smelled terrible.
Food was horrible the drinks available were only vodka, wine raki and beer. Anything else you wanted had to be paid for - hardly all inclusive. The only good thing about the hotel was the entertainers - thank god for them! They are fantastic.

Room Tip: there are several blocks to this hotel also completely seperate is the deluxe version across the roa...

Thank you for your comments. Our hotel consists of three buildings with varying views and aspects. Our food does aim to cater for a wide variety of guests and nationalities. All Air Conditioning at our hotel works on a split system and as with all electrics in the room, only on the insertion of the Energy Saver card. Our All Inclusive drinks include gin, vodka, raki, local liqueurs, red wine, white wine, draught beer, hot drinks and soft drinks. We appreciate your feedback.

We arrived at the hotel in the early hours of Saturday morning to be told we had no room by the rude man who advised he was called Ramazan (the manager) but later found out he was called Ilkat he was just a a rude man on reception. Moments later he conveniently found us a room 2024 however it wasn't the club deluxe that we originally booked and it wasn't the pool view we had paid for it was a building site over look the mosque which went of every couple of hours starting from 5am After lugging our suitcases up 3 flights of stairs and windy corridors due to the lift being out of order! We were greeted by mattresses and planks of wood blocking the doorway to the room.

We entered the to room to find mould all over the floor and walls, a leaking sink and toilet which led to the bathroom being flooding! Air con falling of the wall and stuck together with tape and beds that were just a plank of wood with a sheet and a very thin mattress plug sockets hanging of the walls. Generator located outside the room the main door to the actual bedroom not even shutting we had to stack our suitcases against it to keep it shut as they only had a simple but not safe chain lock!!

10 minutes past and we decided this wasn't good enough this was not acceptable and this wasn't the 4 star hotel we paid for with slides!! (however no slides at this facility )So my partner and I went down calmly at first to be told by this Ilkat if we didn't like the room we could sleep on the sofa in the lobby or the sun loungers outside. He snatched the keys of me and said go away he was far to busy to help! I reached over the counter and got the keys and went round the counter to ask for an extra pillow he said no he was to busy and lit up a cigarette in the main office!

We went back up stairs as we knew we weren't going to get anywhere till morning, My partner was on the phone to his mum back home to speak to the travel agent who we booked with "On the beach" to try and get this the matter resolved!! After no sleep in this dingy run down room we went downstairs to be told no more rooms till 9pm! We luckily had a phone call back from out travel agent after making several phone calls back to the UK to be told she could move us to different hotel! But this resulted in a 200 pound phone bill which we did not expect!

Moving on the restaurant which we renamed the canteen was disgraceful and disgusting! The morning that we spent there was long enough we had brussels sprouts, broccoli and peas and carrots for breakfast as well as the turkish cuisine of boiled eggs, ham and cheese. In between the food counters it was thick of grease and grime which looked like it had be mounted up over time and flies were to nest with these fine spaces!

Overall the 24 hours that we spent at this hotel we believe we can give you an honest review unhelpful and abrupt staff in all areas of the hotel, not a 4 star hotel as rated in June by an assessor, no drinks available after 12 midnight so you arrive early hours of the morning no drinks including no water! This hotel is nothing like it is advertised and was a disappointment after saving hard all year and looking to a nice break it turned out to be stressful and upsetting as we were really looking forward to exploring Marmaris and I would be embarrassed to work there! On a final I am very surprised this hotel is still functioning and advertising luxury 4 star hotel with slides as it is clearly not this! PLEASE STAY AWAY as I wouldn't want your holiday to be ruined like ours was!!!

We appreciate you taking the time to post your review. It is regrettable that your holiday here at Club Hotel Pineta did not live up to your expectations but we do take all feedback into account when reviewing our services and development plans. To confirm, we do not take any supplement for a poolview room and so guarntee is ever given to this end. In addition, there have never been any slides at Club Hotel Pineta and we have no plans to install any. Thank you for sharing your views.

Arrived early hours of the morning to find that our room was not ready. A VERY unhelpful reception man/manager was there to greet us with absolutely no apologie or understand that we were frustrated and tired and just wanted our room!

We had to sleep on the sofa in the reception until 11 oclock the next morning!!!

When we eventually got the disappointing excuse for a room it had twin beds which were pushed together into a double which was not what we wanted, so had to kick up a fuss and get moved.

We moved carrying our bags up 5 flights of stairs as the lift was broken! A regular thing in this s**thole.

So settled for a room with a double bed but not pool view which we had paid for!! Even then the room was rubbish; sockets and electrics hanging out of the wall, no cover on fuse box, dirty looking towels, smelly fridge and 2 flat pathetic pillows, ancient broken aircon which took aroung 2 hours to work a tiny bit.

Just so upsetting and disappointing because we was looking forward to it!! Especially the all inclusive bit :(

The food? Well we went in the first morning for breakfast before we had even got our room obviously! To find a dirty buffet area with what looked like last nights left overs.
The egg was watery and grey the sausage just disgusting.
There was 'fresh fruit' however it wasnt fresh, the huge pile of melon was dry and crusty!
Not the kind of thing you want to be eating.

We paid all inclusive and after that first breakfast we did not eat at all in the hotel again for the whole of the holiday!!

Although drinks were available all day, they were served in tiny throw away cups meaning you had to get like 3 at a time if you needed a drink.

Staff were rude and unsympathetic about everything. The only good thing was that the pool area and garden was large and really nice. But, sometimes a bit dirty with old plates and cups and rubbish hanging around.

Pictures looked great and reviews were good when we booked but its not!

DON'T STAY HERE!!

When we first arrived at this hotel, we went to reception to get our rooms, there was four of us and they put us in B block, we needed two rooms, the air conditioning was not working and it was also dripping on my friends head, so we went to reception and they sent a matienence man to our room, all he did was pull the bed out, so we had to sleep in my parents room for one night, the next day we spoke to our rep and we asked if we could go in C block, he spoke to the reception for us and got us two rooms in there, C block was fine, the towels are changed everyday, it was not to bad at all and it was clean.

Food: the food is disgusting and you would not feed it to your dog, the only ok thing in there was water melon.

Entertainment: the entertainment team were lively and fun, they arrange trips for beach partys (every saturday) and bar street everynight. it only costs 10 lira for transfer (which is about £3.30)

me and my friend are 20 years old so we was not to bothered to be honest, and we also went with my parents, which had a separate room, next door to us.

the people in this hotel are so friendly, we had a brilliant fun time. The drinks are very strong but there is not much of a selection, you can have vodka, gin, raki, beer and wine but you can have cocktails made.
if you have booked this hotel, you might think you will regret it when you get there, but after a few days its ok. the entertainment upstairs at night consists of breakdancing, micheal jackson, games, bingo, karoke , all sorts of stuff.

you will have a lot of fun at this hotel but if you are stuck up, then this isnt the hotel for you, there are a lot of down to earth guests staying at pineta and we had a wonderful time.

the downside to this hotel is the food, if the food was improved and some of the rooms, it would be a perfect hotel, the other thing is you get small plastic cups but you can take your own cup to the bar and they will fill it up for you, we used slush puppy cups.

The location is brilliant, 5 minutes from the beach with bars, shops and restaurants along the sea front. the weather was superb, we went from the 31st august till the 9th september and it was boiling everday, around 32-38 degrees every day.

if you are like me and do not enjoy the food there is a cafe down the road which charges £2 for a full english breakfast, it was very nice and they also have free sun beds and free pool at this cafe/bar.

overall you will have a fun time, if you want a posh hotel go and pay posh prices, we only payed £500 for 10 days all inclusive, including flights, transfer and hotel.

the transfer takes about 1 hour and 40 minutes and stops at a shop halfway.

Room Tip: request C block!!!!!
