What a change this hotel was from last year Myself and 3 other females have just returned home after a weeks stay at the Alize, we returned to this hotel after staying there last year when we thought that the hotel was nice. The reception was ok just like last year but when we got to our room it was quite a shock, we had a family room where we had 2 bedrooms and 2 bath rooms, the toilet in one of the bathrooms had not been cleaned, very dirty (human waste ) , the bath had a lovely crack inside, and on the bathroom wall there was a big grubby hand print which should have been cleaned if the cleaners were doing there jobs properly, the towels were hard and grubby when they finally got changed, the bed sheets didnt get changed as regularly as they should have been, your feet always got dirty because the floors were not cleaned very well if at all, wall paper hanging of the wall.
The hotel was very very noisy, I know its a family holiday but the shouting and banging from the other rooms and corridors where a bit out of control.
We didnt stay at the hotel during the day and we wont be returning .

just came back from a 1 weeks stay there. the hotel looked fab from the pool side lovely pool and little shops. the bar is a bit pricey so tyr to avoid spending there. the waiters are over friendly and made us feel a little uncomfortable.if your a family with teenage daughters dont leave them out of your site its that bad. i went with 3 other friends and only managed to sit there for 45 mins doe to the leering!! the rooms were very basic but that didnt matter to us being that we werent comming home till early hours.the rooms were not cleaned very well i think one mop went through every room on that floor of the hotel yuk! we did find a fab bar on the front called venus which was awesome.they made us feel really welcome, even offering tissues to wipe the sweat off our brows. so a big thank you boys a job well done.

the hotel was very basic and the room that we had for 4 adults was very small and the camp beds that we had left a lot to be desired, dont go near the pool if you are of the female variety as the pool boys including the bar manager were very overfriendly and not in a good way.The hotel cleaners if you can call hem that were not up to scratch and we were left for nearly 4 days without clean towels and a dirty floor.The recepetion nit and day staff and the hotel security guards were absolutely fantastic and only just made our stay there bearable, if i returned to mamris i would think twice about staying here mainly due to the pool staff and the lack of cleanliness of the rooms.We spent all of 45 mins at the pool area and spent the next 6 days of our holiday at the local beach where we found the fantstic venus beach restaurant, it was literally amazing and all the staff made us feel like cleopatra and catered to our every whim!

i stayed at the alize last year and was very impressed with the hotel and the things they had to offer like they had agift shop a tattoo shop a clothes shop a mini market a internet cafe and a games room and not forgetting the restaurent which was next to the bar area and you could have bar meals at the bar area and then at the restaurent they had a wider selection of things to choose from as for the hotel itself it was niceley decorated and the reception area had sofas in it for you to either sit and relax on or for you to watch the news from back home as for the staff they where very friendly but i do have a fews things to say about each of them well when it came to the cleaner who cleaned our room she didnt take a blind bit of notice of the do not disturb sign on the door even though it was written in both english and turkish because she would still come in because sometimes i would be in the bedroom and i would here he cleaning in the living room even if the sign was on the apartment doorand also in stead of mopping the balcony she would just chuck a bucket of water over it and then leave it dry which i thought was very dangerious as for the reception staff they where very nice and would always try to help and finally we come to the bar staff the wasnt really anything wrong with them it was how long they would take to serve you because in the night me and my mother would go down to the bar when it opened around 7pm and wait for the rest of the group to get ready and we would order a drink and you would be waiting around ten minutes for them to bring it to you even if there wasnt anyone waiting at the bar because the one night i went down and my cousin was already there and he had ordered his drink with the waiter and i went up to the bar after he had ordered his and i was back and drinking mine before his came and this was when the bar was quiet as for the location of the hotel it was literally a five minute walk to the beach and beach bars and if you wanted food at restaurant then you would find them either on the beach front in amongst all the bars or on the road just behind the beach bars opposite the hotel was a restaurant as well cant tell you what the food was like because i never ate there and down the road to the left out of the hotel about two hundred yards away was a little shop where you could get all that you wanted and also out the front they sold english magazines and some of the british news papers so thats the club alize all in all a very good hotel and in a quiet but well located hotel i would recommend it to anyone wanting to go to marmaris
