We went on this day trip with my sister, her husband and two kids. Thank goodness my Brother-in-Law suggested that we go with them. I was blown away by the beauty of Rhodes and transported back to the days of ancient Greece. Rhodes is truly a wonderful place and has lots to offer the visitor.
Wonderful views from the top of ancient monuments across Rhodes bay to where the Colossus of Rhodes was once said to span the harbour and now sees huge cruise liners tie up for a day ot two. Narrow cobbled street where people still live in homes that must be very small indeed. Friendly faces, fantastic shops and brilliant restaurants serving delicious food for every taste.
I could live here quite easily.
The Knights Templar Museum is a must and the leather goods are excellent quality but dearer than similar items in Marmaris shops.
