“Lovely Hotel”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed October 2, 2013

We recently returned from an all inclusive 7 night stay at the Blue Bay Platinum. This hotel is fantastic for its service, location and decor. Thomas Cook rep John Paul was very friendly and informative.
Only a few moans, which is a shame as without these few issues the hotel really would be perfect. The 'Animation' Team, really weren't entertaining, in fact I find it quite rude that they come up to you whilst you are eating dinner to ask you to buy bingo tickets, this is for the evening 'entertainment', bingo? really? Most people in the restaurant looked as unimpressed as I did and no-one seemed to be interested. The evening entertainment at this hotel is spent trying to get the guests involved in games etc, personally on holiday I want to be amused not the one providing the entertainment. You also get bothered a lot when you are around the main pool area to join in with pool games. We spent the week sunbathing around the relax pool, there is no music there and no-one bothers you.
Sheets were not changed in the week we were there and neither were the floors or bathroom cleaned.
The food is nice with lots of choice, however it soon gets repetitive.
The spa is amazing, you get a lot for your money and the facilities are modern and clean.
Overall, would definitely recommend if you are looking for an all inclusive holiday that doesn't break the bank at a lovely hotel.

Room Tip: Email in advance to ask for a room with a main pool view.

Rude and unattentive staff at the reception, lazy room cleaners, overcrowded pool side areas as initially too small to acomodate number of people, small beach within 5 minutes walks through empty land slot.
Loud street outside, loud canteen style dining room and even more louder people, approaching you on their beach, trying to sell excursions and cocktails. Sauna closes before 5pm. WiFi is free only near reception.

Not relaxing at all.

Room Tip: 2004 was decent size.

The actual hotel and service is of a good standard. Very clean, good spa, standard all inc food, drinks good, snack bar good. But nothing is amazing. However looking at the local hotels this does appear to be one of the better ones. Sunbeds start being reserved from 6am!! Unfortunately due to the high buildings the actual sun is gone by mid afternoon from most areas.
Nice for a first time and whilst I would go to turkey again it won't be to marmaris.

Just stayed here for a week. Overall would stay there again but pool gets very crowded can't move some days. Dissapointed with tea making facilities in the room. Paper cups and powdered milk are not 4 star. Also these are not replenished on a daily basis. The food choice is fabulous but dining room feels more like a school dinner hall. Not very relaxing. Also one toaster to use for the whole room is not acceptable. The spa was fantastic and so were the staff. Well worth a visit. The hotel is lovely and modern . Give it a go ! !

This hotel looks the part but it isn't 4 star,The food is good ,the decor looks lovely but the practicalities speak for themselves -no storage space in a very small room and the entertainment is limited. We had to change our room as it was so small and as we planned to stay for two weeks we thought we would need some drawer space and a bit more wardrobe hangers for our duration. In many of the rooms there is no bedside table, and the tables ,which could have contained drawers are false fronted .The bed is made up of one sheet on the bottom and a tiny cellular blanket on top ,this can't be up to any hotel quality anywhere in the world let alone here..
The hotel does have a sun bed problem, there are very few spaces where the sun shines all day due to the height of the surrounding buildings, however the Classic pool does give a quieter feel, but don't expect to drink any thing other than water there- it's not allowed!
if you like Magaluf ,you'll like it here ,if we came back we would head to the other end of the resort towards Icmeler, the Germans have the best end!,,

we stayed here in the may 2013 for 3 weeks, everything good said about this hotel is true, I couldn't find anything to moan about the hotel in my 3 week stay. The food is brilliant, the snack bar is one of the best I've been to, the chicken wraps are amazing definitely the best thing in the snack selection. Drinks were very good. A large variety of local drinks. The barman Halil was excellent there was never had a queue when he was on the bar always had your drink ready for you when he saw you coming. An all round nice guy good patter and a good laugh.
Only one thing that bothered me in my stay was we left the room one morning only to come back and find one of our brand new tooth brushes looked like it was about 6month old, bristles all over and a chip out the handle of the brush. Lucky for me it was my girl friends brush. We bought new tooth brushes straight away, but after that never left our tooth brushes out in the bathroom again!
would definitely return loved the hotel and all the staff, even BIG CRISS the scuba diving instructor. Who like to try the cakes and biscuits lol

Just home from a stay at this hotel ,found it very clean, modern and staff great the entertainment team were lovely and there's something to suit everyone from a lazy day to having fun, dancing for kids and shows at night, food lovely but repetitive but is nice to try natalies and the picadilly for a steak ! very central to the amazing shopping in marmaris and the long beach front, take an empty suitcase or very little or ul be sorry , and very close to the waterpark the one up on hill is the best ,can't wait to go back !

Room Tip: Block c is lovely
