“Nice Hotel, make sure you reserve in the RENOVATED Building”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 25, 2011

very nice hotel, went with my sister and friends, enjoyed our time a loot.... food is average...location in amazing, they have the Hana Beach where you can tan all day... the swimming pools are nice (the have 2 one right in front of the beach and the main pool where you can relax).
just make sure when you reserve your room, tell them you want it in the renovated building, ours was in the old building..very small room.. and when you take a shower all the bathroom is water =)
very nice night life... the bar street is very nice... you can't get bored...you can go there by taking the blue (Marmaris bus) for 1.75 lira to the city center then its about 10 minutes walk with all the shops around you..
the shops beside the hotel are cheaper than the ones in the city center... and you can negotiate the prices... I bought a leather bag and a wallet for 50 Lira instead of 90...
enjoy it! cheers

In general the hotel is elegant, good staff, clean ,big lobby and restaurant, near the beach, near marmaris main street, and very near to Migros supermarket.
We took half board room, the food was tasteful with wide variety esp. the dinner. But.. the rooms are very close to each other with thin wall, there were 2 guys in the next room, we kept hearing them when they are in their room. The water was not available for free neither in the room nor in the dinner where the bottle price was very expensive compared to how it was sold in the supermarket. As well, the guest relations were not always available, we need to use the Internet, we could rarely find them.
I guess if the above issues changed, it will be a wonderful hotel in Marmaris beach.

had a meal on the jetty, was not staying in the hotel. we were charged for a bottle of water which would have bought us a extra holiday in Turkey!!!!!!!!!!!!! The sevice was very slow and had to ask a few times for napkins which were brought after asking many times!! The chicken casserole was ok but the veg rice and chips(french fries) were stone cold. You would think that serving on a jetty they would have found a way of keeping food warm!!!!! We were charged overthe top for a bottle of house wine which was ok but have had before and much much cheaper. For 4 people it was not too bad for the price of the food but the wine water and beer was a rip off!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

3 of 5 stars Reviewed July 10, 2011

We have just returned from a week at the Elegance Hotel - we had a fantastic time despite a number of disappointments. We've stayed in 3 All Inclusive Hotels in Turkey before - 4 and 5 star. The Elegance did not match up to the standards, or have the facilities of any of the previous hotels.
1. It is not All Inclusive: there's so much that either isn't available or is an extra charge. The choice of drinks is very limited - even fresh orange juice isn't available as part of the all inclusive and there seemed to be only one 'cocktail'. It states there are 3 a la carte restaurants although we only saw one in use - on the jetty - and this was normal restaurant prices. The coffee shop has free Nescafe all day, but if you want any other coffee or a cake, it's not part of the all inclusive.
2. It's not 5 star. The rooms are fine although they could to with updating but they don't have that extra something you'd expect from a 5 star hotel. There's a minibar - chargeable. The rooms were cleaned well, but on 3 occasions the cleaner left our balcony door either just unlocked or actually open. Service was almost non-existent. There was rarely a member of staff in the piano bar - we usually had to go to reception or down to the coffee shop to ask for some service. Other Turkish 4 and 5 star hotels have had excellent service in the bar and lounge areas and round the pools. The pools were good and clean but the 'quiet' pool was also where the childrens' pool was situated, so not very quiet! That didn't matter to us but if you want real peace and quiet, you probably won't get that. There's a range of other water sports available including jet skis, banana boats, pedaloes and parasailing but there are no free watersports.
3. The food too was ok - but not 5 star in choice or quality.
Breakfast: very little fresh fruit and very little choice of other items. No fruit juice - the drinks were fruit squash. Lunch: again a very limited choice in the main buffet restaurant. At the so called 'quiet pool' there were snacks available from 12 - 4 which again were ok, but not 5 star quality. Lunch was also available at the main pool bar but this was chargeable. Evening meal: slightly better choice but we didn't see any of the 'show cooking' advertised. We had one visit to the a la carte restaurant on the jetty where the food was excellent but again, the service was poor. Little things maybe, but they matter. The waiters were clearing the plates from the starters while one of our party was still eating. Then 5 of our main meals arrived. We waited a few minutes, then asked about the 6th meal - the response was a very offhand, ok. We waited another 5 minutes and finally managed to attract another waiter's attention. A similar response. Eventually, the remaining meal arrived with no apologies for the delay. We were never asked if we wanted desserts or coffee. But the setting, out on the jetty, was amazing.
The location of the hotel was perfect for our party which included two 20 year olds. There was plenty of good nightlife close by and even more in Maramaris itself (a short bus or taxi ride away - or a long walk). There were also pleasant bars around which myself and my husband enjoyed as well as plenty of choice for my daughter and her fiance (late 30s). The small stretch of hotel beach was good, if very cramped with sunbeds and the Aegean sea was of course fantastic. We had one trip in the glass bottom boat but didn't see many fish. We loved the trip, especially the very fast bits in open sea where we each had the chance to drive the boat. We had one meal out by the Marina in Marmaris. Fantastic food, excellent service, good value and a wonderful setting on the restaurant's roof terrace by the castle walls. We enjoyed a bit of shopping in the Bazaar and my daughter and her fiance bought their wedding rings there. Our granddaughter and her friend didn't like the hassle they got there so at least they didn't spend too much!

We arrived back yesterday from Elegance where we spent 10 nights. I would just like to say I am not sure where some of the negative comments have come from! The hotel is very clean, the staff are very hard working and very friendly and you could not ask for better bar staff! They are all so lovely. The jetty is amazing and the hotel at night looks lovely with all the candles lit everywhere. Food was great which served Turkish food which is a lovely change from chips and burgers most hotels cater for for the British! I feel if you go away abroad you should experiance different things!! The location is great, it's right on the beach, a 10-15min walk and you are in Marmaris! We went All inclusive and is great!! cocktails and bottled water ( a few on here have said they are not free ) are included!! There are 2 pools. one is quieter than the other. I will definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. we had a late flight back (11pm) and was still allowed to use the hotel and use the all inclusive:). Thank for making me and my boyfriends holiday so special!

We have just returned from elegance where we spent 10 nights there. We arrived at 2230 and helped to our rooms where they had laid on some dinner for us as we had missed this, nice touch. The hotel is very clean, the staff are very hard working and don't seem to stop. The jetty is amazing and beautiful. The hotel at night looks gorgeous as they have special touches like candles lit everywhere. Food was nice and location is great, it sits right on the beach, a 15 min walk and you are in the heart of Marmaris! All inclusive is great they give free cocktails and bottled water ( which we have never had in previous hotels ) weather was hot too. There are 2 pools one is quieter than the other. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone. Only small thing is they wouldn't let us have a late check out as our transfer was 6pm but the spa let us shower there. Well worth the money.
