Every thing is pure and simply horrible. From the staff, food, hotel and pool
We went as a party of 15. Their drinking water is directly from the outside hose, air con does not work, 2 days without electric, 2 days No running water, no cleaners, pool filthy, kids got rashes, wasps every where, not enough food, rarely any beer or soft drink, manager a waste of space, lift always out of order- had to carry two prams up 10 flights of stairs, pool or bar area never cleaned. We moved hotels after 5 days of pure hell! !!!!!!!!

Just got back from lidya park marmaris 22/08/13 - 05/09/13 I will try and be as rational as possible. This hotel is terrible no maids to clean rooms, same towels and bed linen for two weeks cold water dirty showers got athletes foot in both feet from shower all inclusive non existent out of the 14 days we had lager for three of them all inclusive 10am-10pm closes 6-730pm for "cleaning" although nothing cleaned. I know you get what you pay for but this hotel isn't worth anything the staff are local "heavies" and if you complain they just tell you to go somewhere else. Feel so deflated after looking forward to this for some time. The food is terrible repetitive chips rice and chicken stew every night no afternoon tea generally bad I hope for your sakes you havnt booked if so please change the hotel you have been warned on a positive note though Marmaris a lovely resort nice beach cheap to eat out (thank god) and lots of excursions boat trips all inclusive £10 eat and drink what you like

Room Tip: don't go to this hotel if you ignore this its your choice

Myself and my family have just returned from this 'hotel'. It is the worst hotel we have ever stayed in!
We arrived at about 2am on the 15th Aug and didn't think too much to the dirty floors or anything like that as we assumed it would be cleaned overnight and we had caught them in the middle of everything. When we got to the room we were not overly impressed by the lack of furniture in there, and we moved the entire room around so two beds where in one area and the main double bed was in another, we were not given a choice as to a standard, double or triple room when we arrived as it is advertised you will be.
There was no hot water, but at 2am it was not something I wanted to get into, so left it till morning to resolve thinking it was an oversight on their part. The air con worked and we were all shattered so it was good to just get into bed.
In the cold light of morning the state of the hotel was shockingly apparent. There were stains on all the floors, one so bad, my daughters flip flop got stuck in it.. this stain was not cleaned until 3 days before we left and we were there for 14 days.
there was broken glass poolside, that was only discovered after a six year sliced her foot open on it and then the staff had the nerve to ask why her parents were shouting, the bar staff were not bothered and were in no hurry to clean up the glass that was still left there even after that, in fact they only ever clean around the pool when they close it for 30mins in the evening, it is so bad that broken glass was found in the pool by hotel guests and was removed from the pool by hotel guests!
The food was not actually the worst thing here, however, you could see they just couldn't be bothered or didn't have what they needed to do anything they wanted so the food was coming out less and less and crappier and crappier. There was limited selection of food for anyone, although if you love water melon, you're well in.
After 3 days our AC was turned off and we were told that we would have to pay to have it switched back on, this AC battle became a small focus of our holiday as my husband spent a lot of time back and forth at the main desk getting our AC switched back on as he refused to pay for it on account of the hotel being so disgusting, it was even taken as far as the fat, greasy owner of the hotel that stalked around trying to intimidate everyone and he tried the same tactics with my husband to try and get him to pay more money to this rat hole, its a small victory to say that we won and didn't have to pay for our AC at any point in time while we were there.
The greasy fat man and his bald fat side kick are the owners, according to the staff at the hotel, who also informed me and my husband they have not been paid in over 3 months, but can not say anything as they need the jobs and the hope of getting their money at the end of the season for their families, as most of the staff travel a long way to work for the tourist seasons, this horrible fat man takes advantage of his staff and we saw several times were he treated them in a disgusting manor. He does not provide the staff with the things they need to clean or cook decent meals and leaves the hotel to go in to disrepair, however it works well as he owns several of the restaurants that are spitting distance from his hotel, the lost boys is one that is why they are always handing out tickets for there, and we heard the one on the corner as well.
THIS HOTEL IS NOT AS ADVERTISED AT ALL - there is no TV, no usable playground for children, no mini bar in room, no in room telephone, no bath tubs, no fitness centre or table tennis and no free billiards, no sea views, no hairdryer, no wifi or AC for free, no snacks are offered at all in between meals.
The pools are disgusting and began to smell, they got so dirty that you could not even see your feet when you were in them, after so many people complained they finally cleaned it over night, it wasn't great, but good enough for the kids to use. The slide, they only turned on once or twice a day for an hour or so, stating that they don't like it on because the English are disrespectful.
The bar was closed at one point and all the alcohol removed as it tasted like soap and water, there was hardly any beer and it was pretty Vodka and Raki on offer for drinks like that.
There was an entire day of no power to the entire hotel, nothing was done to fix it, but it seemed more like the power was deliberately turned off.
A rep was shot down on the corner for taking people out and about, I don't think this has all that much to do with the hotel, as we went on plenty of trips to get out and about and enjoy our stay and we didn't have any issues, although after that, just as a safety in the area issue, we walked to the Club Armar and paid for the wrist bands and spent the last 5 days of our holiday using their pools and restaurants and only sleeping at Lidya Park, or whatever it is called as by the time we left the name of the hotel had been removed, so I imagine that it is getting ready to change its name for next season and the first few weeks open will be lovely until it falls back into the hole it is now. I do not understand after so many complaints and poor reviews how all these holiday companies can still be advertising this hotel, they need to look into their own practices and standards as well as this hotel should not offered to anyone, I wouldn't let my dogs stay here!

just got back from lidya and we will not be going back. everything what other people have been saying about this hotel is true. the hotel owner is breaching all health and safety rules. no running water, no towels, no lift working, window hanging off hendge in stair way, could not eat the food at resturant, no electric, no toilet paper and cleaning of our rooms never done in the whole week were there. the list goes on and we only slept there and went out in the morning till night. how this hotel got inclusive rate is crazy. i love going to turkey on hoildays but the lidya needs to be closed down until they can sort all health and safety issues. somebody will get seriously hurt staying there. i wish my experience was positive but please save your money and stay at another hotel.
