Second year staying in this hotel. Location excellent and free beach beds (tied to hotel). Beach boys will serve you all day from the hotel bar and you pay when you leave (include a tip!!)
Staff are very quiet and not as pushy/friendly (you decide!) as other bars in Içmeler).
Rooms are cleaned every day and new towels every three days.
We were given room 208 when we arrived, at the rear and very small... No room for two sets of clothes in the single wardrobe and floor space for two suitcases. We asked to be moved and got room 202 the next day. Double bed, double wardrobe and a sea view. Having spoken to other guests, it turns out that this room is used as a transit room and if you don't complain, you remain there!
We are beach people so can't make comment on the pool area.
Breakfasts were good. Remember you're in turkey, expect local cuisine. Varied cold meats, cheeses, olives, as well as tea coffee, toast, jams, spreads and boiled eggs, scrambled eggs and sausages in a tomato sauce.
Great restaurants and pubs throughout the town, recommend Karem, for a cosy family meal, and majestic, Venice for good food and entertainment. All on the canal. Loads of others in the square, lighthouse, bonjour, friends etc all good food and very reasonable.
We always lunched at Yacamoz on the promenade or the pig and whistle just up from the hotel.
In short, great town, loads of entertainment (Stella show is a must see!) very clean and good value for money. The hotel is a 3 star, you pay extra for air con and a safe, rooms are clean, no hot water issues, staff are reserved (quiet!!!!) but nice, and we will be back next year!
