“Seda apartments”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 11, 2014

We arrived in the early hours to be greeted by a very pleasant worker who took my partners bag upto our room. The room was clean and tidy and sufficient for what we needed. Our 1st morning there we ended up getting a little lost trying to find sincerity bar but a taxi ride later and we were there.
We returned to the seda to do a spot of sunbathing and found the other holidays makers rather cliquey, to be told later they were a family and some friends.
The staff are helpful and friendly and the more you use the bar the more chatty they become.
The food is spot on but if it's not to your taste there's plenty of other places to try.
I did go to magic hands, a Turkish barbers for a cut throat shave and it was an excellent experience, so much so I went back for another shave and a haircut..
The hotel owner is a very pleasant woman and also very helpful.
It was an ideal location with bars restaurants & shops just around the corner and it's about half an hours walk from the beach, but there are plenty of busses kicking about. We never used the bus service because we preferred to walk everywhere, plenty of watering holes to stop us becoming dehydrated!!!
All in all it was a fantastic holiday

Having just returned from these apartments I don't agree with majority of the reviews
Firstly I was scared to make eye contact with most of the guests as they stared you out,the kids just bombed us so we were soaked and the parents watched on like a fight might make there stay enjoyable

As for the staff never met staff that blatantly insult you in Turkish thinking you don't understand them
there was no entertainment full stop apart from Turkish night which we were frightened to walk past incase we got shouted at
We had a cockroach in the room and we were 3 floors up
no toilet roll and the maid just emptied the bin and left a clean towel
no cleaning what so ever

Had to pay £30 for aircon which is just in the bedroom (really in apartments)
you were treated appalling if you didn't eat and drink there 24 seven
Wifi only works in the bar and pool area (there's a shock)
and you can't bring any food or drink down yet we are in APARTMENTS which I'm sure means you do your own thing

I have been to turkey several times and this is not the hospitality that Turkish are renowned for if you if you want to be ripped off this place is for you as for Antonio billy & ronaldo be careful who you assume is stupid as not everyone is a thick as you think
Great weather love turkey but Seda is just not for me

On the plus size the apartment was clean and not noisy on the night. But i can't say i share the same enthusiasm for the staff that other reviewers have. The owners were miserable and most of the other time the other staff only cared about you if you were ordering every single meal and drink from them. The rest of the guests seemed to be lapping it up, but i could see if was false, Antonio is nice enough. I ordered my lunch there and some drinks everyday but got told of for once bringing in "outside" food, not what you expect with a self catering apartment. I have taken a picture of the rude sign that was left for guests saying something like no food, no drinks, no ice cream not ordered from here allowed by pool, but im too tired to upload it at the moment. I used to pop to the store around the corner and eat/ drink whatever it was i bought round the corner from the hotel in case the food Nazi's told me off again. It did not make for a pleasant or comfortable stay, i was just waiting for one of them to challenge me for bringing in outside water, in which case i would say this is a human rights issue in that heat!. The food i ordered was quite greasy, went to Turkish night and was promised 3 courses that tuned out to be 2, but entertainment was good, would not stay here again because of the food and drink rule, i don't mind buying from the hotel but it's unreasonable to expect you to get everything there. Also there was a lot of loud Scottish kids around the pool, diving in every 10 seconds, parents nowhere to be seen.

Stayed at Seda apartments, the staff and owners were 1st class. Billy and Antonio were very experienced in entertaining holidaymakers, rooms were spotless as was the rest of the hotel and pool area, food was excellent and Turkish night was amazing, cannot thank them enough for making my 1st visit to turkey a memorable one and I am looking forward to booking again for 2015. A hotel to be proud of.

Room Tip: all rooms were excellent

We were booked for an all inclusive hotel in Ichmeler and sadly the tour company went bust two weeks before we were due to leave. I rebooked 2 weeks accommodation at Seda apartments and I can honestly say its the best decision i made. We were greeted by a young man in the early hours, and shown to our room. The room 205 was spotlessly clean and comfortable, basic facilities, clean towels every day, from the lovely cleaning ladies, who though speak limited English, were very friendly and tried well to communicate.....The first morning we were greeted by Antonio who was FAB, he was very informative, showing us the best places to buy our clothes, get our days out booked, where local supermarkets and banks were situated. The staff were absolutely amazing, cannot fault any of them, Antonio, Billy and Boss lady are great and helped us have a family feel to our holiday we were all sad to leave, in fact ive come home on 25th May and ive just booked to go back in June, sadly Seda were fully booked so im going to try another apartments, i just hope its as good!
We booked half board, had a good choice of breakfasts and evening meals ~(3 courses, soup, choice of meals, such as spagetti bolognaise, fish and chips, chicken shish kebab, all served with home made chips, rice and salad, and fresh fruit salad for dessert......something for everyone. The food is delicious, the chef is wonderful, and the prices are very good, an English breakfast for £2.50 which was great.
The hotel (as well as most of Marmaris) accepts pounds sterling as well as Euros & Turkish lira, there is an HSBC cash machine about a 5 min stroll from hotel which do not charge commission for withdrawals. The hotel also does a good rate of exchange for currency.
The pool area is spotlessly clean, you are not allowed to take ur own food and drinks to the pool but the bar offers good price snacks and drinks. The is a pool table under the slide for those who wish to have a game.
Ive seen some comments about the Rooster across the road who does make a noise in the morning, it was a bit of an alarm call on the first morning but u do get used to it, and remember Armutlan is a residential area, and it adds to the charm of the area, plus the Eggs were the best ive ever tasted!!!......
You can get free wifi from acquiring the code from the boss lady. Air conditioning is extra, but we didnt need it in May. Safes are £10 per week and ideal for storing ur passports etc.
There are several supermarkets just across the road which offer a selection of basic items, we did walk into Marmaris to get larger stocks, or you can get the Dolmus which is approx 70p each rather than walk in the heat, the bus stop is just around the corner.
We found Billys friends shop great (again around the corner), no hassle, no haggling, just good prices for fake t shirts, aftershaves, bags etc, a really nice guy who we will be making an effort to go back to on our future trips to Turkey. We had bought items from other stores on our day trips and then found he had sold them, usually at a better price anyway.
Plenty of bars and restaurants within a short walking distance, though we only ate at the hotel as the service and quality was so good.
All in all, it was the best holiday weve ever had, so friendly, so family orientated, no hassle, very helpful, we couldnt find fault at all and we will be going back in September as a family too......
Boss lady arranged our return coach back to airport.........and you can buy yummy bagettes for ur flight, as the airport prices are quite expensive!

We had days out - lazy day boat trip - amazing value - offer photos on a disc for £10 and individual printed photos for £3, all inclusive day, and great value, will be doing this again

Dalyan boat trip to Turtle beach (and yes we saw the Turtles! - mud baths, and kings tomb) we were also lucky enough to see a pod of Dolphins on the way home,) - LONG trip, and you cannot take ur drinks on the boat u have to buy theirs, not bad prices, also photos in Mud baths work out about £4.50 each

Turkish nite, good fun all inclusive, food and local drinks - spirits extra

Jeep safari ( an absolute MUST, prepare to get soaking wet, u can hire the super soaker water gun for approx £3 each - lovely trip to waterfall, and Jesus beach is stunning, again you get a lunch, drinks extra, and we have lots of photos on a dvd for £10........well worth the trip!

we booked a fishing boat trip, for a few hours, again you have to buy the drinks on the boat but are reasonably priced. - good for hours of catching little fish, kept the children amused.

(one small niggle was we did buy good copies of DVDS from the bar and although they are great quality copies, the ones we had were in Turkish so the kids cant understand them)

Room Tip: we had room 205, over looking the pool, fab room, spacious, clean and perfect for us
