“Excellent holiday and hotel!!!!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 20, 2013

I have just returned from a weeks holiday at maris beach hotel with two friends and loved every second. The bar lads were great ( spikey, Adam, barby,David,Husain and the rest of the gang!) had a great laugh day and night. A few steps from the beach were barby waited on us hand and foot he was a gem! Rooms were a bit small but that didn't bother us you only sleep in there. The Turkish bath was great and would recommend the safari jeep it was hilarious! We booked these with jack who gave us a great deal, Can't wait to return to marmaris and to maris beach hotel. Hope to see you all soon guys!!!

We have just got back from 9 nights at this hotel , we have stayed there about 7 times when we have been to marmaris but we havnt been for the last 4 years so was good to go back. We always stay at this hotel and have never had a bad experience. The hotel itself has all been refurbed and had only just opened for the season so the dining area was been still done out but was looking great. The rooms are always cleaned and the one thing i like about here is that the maids are there every day at your room and always fresh towels. The bar is good and the food in the day and night is of a superb quality, although it is nice to eat out around marmaris you get just has good in the hotel itself. The staff in the bar all the lads do a fantastic job and ive got to stay in all the times ive been at this hotel THIS YEARS TEAM HAS GOT TO BE THE BEST we have had there, all up for a laugh, dead polite, hardworking. i really wouldnt stay anywhere else , situated right on beach front.
cant fault it !!!!!

Room Tip: we always stop on the front overlooking the sea!

Stayed at Maris Beach 4-12th May after reading good reviews on here. Arrived through the night, and was welcomed by one of the staff who took our bags, and took them up to the room while we checked in. The hotel had opened a week early which was fortunate for us as we had a se view room which was perfect. Room was clean and smart, and was kept clean and tidy throughout the week. Location was perfect, couldn't have asked for better. Quiet so ideal for young, families, and older people alike. It was about 20 minutes to walk to the marina, but plenty bars along the way to keep you occupied. Pool wasn't ready when we first got there, but was open the 2nd day, small pool but was a nice little sun trap in the afternoon sun. Hotel was still getting ready for the high season, but only minor work going on and in no way spoilt the holiday. Restaurant staff were exceptional, very friendly and chatty, and worked well together. Food was also excellent, and had a few meals at the hotel, and had a good selection on the menu. Overall for location, room, staff, and everything in between was excellent, and had a fantastic week there, and will definitely go back again! I would recommend to anyone to stay there, I don't think they'll regret it! :-)

Room Tip: I'd book early for sea view. Side overlooks pool and bit of open ground....but would still get p...

My partner & I booked to stay here for 12nights at the end of April primarily due to the hotel's beachfront location. Upon arrival there was still refurb work being done to the reception & restaurant so we were taken to stay at the nearby Poseidon hotel. We stayed there for 8days then had to move to Maris Beach as the work was complete. At the time it seemed like an inconvenience as we couldn't be bothered packing again but we were SO glad that we did!

We were given a room with a sea view on the 4th floor, free air-con & safety deposit box (in room) for the remainder of our stay. The room & bathroom was basic, but cleaned daily, & it had everything we needed. The view was fantastic & well worth paying extra for if available. Location wise you couldn't ask for better as its close to the marina area of marmaris (approx 30mins stroll or 5mins on dolmus) but it's still quiet to allow you to get to sleep at night.

We stayed B&B and the breakfast was ok..........not a lot of variety but if you're happy with tea & toast like we were then it was fine. Mostly turkish brekkie options as you would expect. We did however eat in the restaurant for dinner & lunch & everything we had was fantastic. For our last night we had pre-ordered the roast leg of lamb for 2 (100TL) which would have fed a family of 4 easily & it came with lots of sides & sauces as well. Everything is made in-house by the 3 chefs & is so fresh, tasty & good value too!

Last but certainly not least are the staff......every one of them were friendly, helpful & cheerful. They are all so hardworking & love to chat & have a bit of banter. No matter what age you are they will make you feel welcome & you end up feeling like you've known them for years!

This was our 1st trip to turkey & although we were unsure at the time of booking I can't wait to go back & wouldn't hesitate in recommending anyone to stay at this hotel. It's ticked all the boxes for us (even though it wasn't ready when we arrived)!

Ariived at the Maris Beach, 10.00pm on the 19th of April to find the place in darkness with a couple of workman sitting in what will be the bar looking as puzzled as we were!
After a couple momment of near panic the much mentioned Barbi appeared to advise us that, as we could see, refurbishment work had over run and we were to be relocated to the Poseidon Hotel just a few yards along the beachfront (see seperate review).
There are a few reasons I am posting this despite not actually staying at the hotel.
Firstly we were impressed by the way Barbi treated us and the complimentary bottle of wine with written apology we recieved a few days later, secondly to say that the hotel is in an ideal location and finally as the week we were there went by the place looked better and better.
I am hoping to see some good reviews for this hotel over the next year as we intend to return to Marmaris next year and would give it a try if the reviews are positive.

We are a young couple from Norway who stayed for 2 weeks last summer. I want to be honest and say it wasn't the best hotel, mainly because of the NOISE. Traffic is nonstop right outside your windows and the walls are thin. We could hardly sleep. I recommend you get a room as high up as possible if you choose this hotel. The beds are very hard as well. The beach outside is not very beautiful, so we went to the beach in Ismir. Having said that, the rooftop is beautiful, with a nice pool and bar/resturant and an amazing view over Marmaris! :-) The staff was nice and the food was ok. We were a little gutted though when we went for a walk on the beach promenade and saw the other hotels which were so much nicer and calmer --> just about 15 min walk west.

Room Tip: Choose one of the top floors for less noise and nice view.

First of all i want to say how amazing the staff are. By no word of a lie the best staff physically possible. When we checked in the receptionist seemed a little tired, but a 3am who wouldnt be. The rest of the week we found ourselves coming back to the hotel earlier just to spend the evening chatting and playing pool with them! (The best service came from a man called Barbie and an older man whos name escapes me)

Had a little probem with the aircon, but was fixed immediately. It only works while the key is in the room, but we payed a deposit for a second one which was no hassle which we just left in there.

Breakfast was sufficient though repetitive. The beach is brilliant with the bar staff circling round for your service and no fights for beds. The pool is tiny (i mean about double a backgarden pool) but with a beach like that you would be mad to go there.

Spoilt for choice with resturants in the evening. Crazy golf a stones throw away. And 79 steps (yea sad, i know) from a small waterpark, good enough to spend half a day in. Half hour walk along the seafront to the main town, but resturants start after 5 minutes. Loads to do, recommend the boat trip but YOU WILL BURN.

Thre only bad thing about this place is the resturants are very persistant to drag you in, two hotels to your left is a HUGE 5* hotel with their own private pier. And the elevator is too small to fit you and your bags in.

Room Tip: Sea facing! Amazing view!
