“Lovely quiet setting”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2012

Went as a late deal and was worried by other reviews. E mailed hotel and asked for a refurbished room before we went and room was lovely - roomy, excellent air con, clean and modern with wonderful views. Had a double and single bed and huge sofa to chill on. Walk to beach lovely and beach much cooler and quieter than the pool area which was noisy - loads of small children and music playing but each to their own - you can escape the noise and always plenty of sunbeds - especially afternoons on the beach as most people seem to disappear back to the hotel. Food on beach simple but delicious grilled chicken and fish with rice, chips and salad with fruit for pudding. All meals good choice but could be a little cold but there is a microwave.

The only downside was no late check out available as hotel full but stayed on the beach all day and then used the spa to shower and change with lovely fluffy towels and wonderful staff so not a problem in the end.

Take strong insect repellent as you will need it. Please do the hotels own boat trip -we went out on the first one of the season and it was an absolutely wonderful day 10 am til 6pm from the hotels own jetty - all inclusive for 20 pounds each was great and small kids go free.

All staff helpful when you get used to them - hotel full of Russians (they do think they own the place but ignore them and enjoy yourselves) and not many English but more were coming in as we left on the 1st June.

Good food at the hotel for Turkey and clean and well laid out - loved out stay - very relaxing.

Room Tip: E mail a week before arrival - all our requests were met but no confirmation e mail received. I ask...

After reading the reviews I was thrilled when we arrived. We arrived at approx midnight - had a good check-in and were offered biscuits which was a nice touch. The bell boy took our luggage to the room which always makes life easier. The bar was still open so we grabbed a quick drink. Don't worry about water, the fridge had 4 bottles in and water was available from a fridge by both bars and in the restaurant. Our room was very clean. You could see signs of damp which had been covered. But it was fine. We stayed from 15 - 22 May. We did have a fair amount of rain, but we still had a great time. All the staff were brilliant. Two of the receptionists were Russian, but still fine to deal with.

Our Cosmos Rep Joanna was great, very helpful, especially as she had lived in Turkey for 3 years. We took the Dolmoosh (minibus) to Fethiye which was very straight forward. We walked up to the tombs and up to the old town and along the harbour. Evidently if you go to the fish market and buy your fish or seafood the restaurants around the fish market will cook it for you - people we met at the hotel said it was fantastic so I regret not knowing that before. We would definetely of gone.

The entertainment team worked hard and were very friendly. There was one lifeguard who also manned the kiosk for the pool towels. The beach was great, a beautiful walk, we saw crabs, frogs, tortoise and numberous dragonfly type insects. Great for the kids and amazing to listen to the frogs calling.

It was the first time we have been to Turkey All Inclusive so I don't know how it compares, but I would be more than happy to return to Lykia Botanika.

We spent 10 nights at this hotel and loved every minute. Everywhere was clean, rooms cleaned daily and towels changed daily. Staff are really good and try to involve everyone in activities. The animation staff were fab and brilliant with kids. Food was good a wide range and choice. All in all we had a fab hOliday and go there again. I couldn't find a fault.

we have just returned after a 2 week stay (10th-24 may )
i was worried when i read the reveiws before i came but hand on heart this place was brilliant and did not deserve the poor reveiws it got
the room was a good size for 3 of us (me, husband and 4 year old) - it was clean and was cleaned every day with fresh towels everyday - the shower leaked a little but nothing to get stressed about.
the food was ok - not always sure what we were eating (as not labelled) but a really good variety and tasted quite nice - plus if in doubt they had the bbq area which had freshly baked pizza, chips, kebabs etc - all really nice.
restaurant looked clean and staf constantly come and take your used plates away - although the only downside to the restaurants was bats flying round on an evening (inside) and lots of cats - although the cats didnt really bother you.
the staff at this hotel are a real credit to them, friendly and very polite - the animation team - especially ozzie were amazing and fantastic with my little boy they kept him well entertained as well as us with the variety of activities they do during the day - but they are not pushy with it which was nice.
there was always evening entertainment for kids then adults - they only did 1 beach disco in the 2 weeks we were there unlike advertised which states nightly.
The bar staff (pool bar) also brilliant esp emin and osman, friendly, funny and polite they also helped keep my little boy entertained and would do anything for u - i lost my sons jumper and hadnt realised til next day - they found it and kept it safe until they saw us next.
i felt very safe there, the whole place inc pool and bar area very clean.
we really had a great holiday which i belive has a lot to do with the staff who work there.
the only tip i would give is take some very strong mosquito repellent - being close to the water and the botanikal area there are alot - i dont usually get bitten but i did here - but i didnt really bother me, and didnt take away what a great holiday it was - would deffo return.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday here.We had a great time.
It was late evening when we arrived and our room was up 2 large flights of stairs so the next morning we asked for a ground floor which we were given straight away without a fuss. the bell boy moved all our stuff for us.Our room was large and could have slept 6 people it was very clean and the cleaners turned up every day and our towels were changed daily.
The food was good and plentiful with many different choices but it would have been nice if it was labeled so you knew what you were picking up.some of the food on the bbq was raw in the middle.
The pools were great one pool had 2 slides which were great fun for adults and children and there was a very big pool near the restaurant.
The walk to the beach was interesting looking in the streams there were frogs, crabs, and we even saw a turtle who seemed to have lost it's way. there is a bar on the beach where you could also have lunch.there were free pedalo's and sunbeds.
The entertainment was'nt very good and could be a lot better i know it was early in the season but i think everything should be available in high and low season.there was no beach disco which was advertised in the brochere.which was disappointing as i was going to take my grand children.but you could not fault the entertainment staff they were all great fun.the only name i can remember is ozzie he was great.
overall the hotel was great but it is totally off the beaten track the bus to town was right outside the hotel and left every 10 mins.
All of the staff in this hotel were fantastic and very friendly and are a credit to the hotel.
we would go again but prehaps a little later in the season

We a family of 5 have just returned from a week all inclusive at this hotel. Really cannot find fault other than to say that our shower could have been updated. We had a family room which was roomy enough for all of us. Rooms were cleaned daily and towls changed every 2nd day. Food was varied with loads of choice for everyone, even the fussy eaters. I would say without a doubt that the jewel in this hotels crown is the staff that they employ, from the room cleaners, waiters in the restaurant, bar staff and the Animation team. They are all friendly, enthusiastic, encouraging and a good laugh. The pools were lovely, the kids enjoyed the slide and slide pool, and because of this we never made it to the beach once! My son celebrated his birthday there and we arranged a birthday cake (at extra cost), but when it was bought to the table we had 3-4 of the waiting staff come over and sing him happy birthday which is something they did off their own back. Would def recommend.

Room Tip: Family rooms consist of a double room which has bunk beds in it sleeping 4 and another smaller adjoi...
