“Brit of allright!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 10, 2009

Ok, we went on holiday for some sun and relaxation. Two teenage girls, mum and dad.
Booking the Fethiye Relax. Paying for all inclusive.
Unlike many of the - what I consider unfair- reviews about this hotel we thought it was very good value.
The British are a funny bunch " you get what you pay for " everybody says, then they book the cheapest accomodation along with the all inclusive package and expect the Ritz! Now of course there are certain basics you should expect, cleanliness, decent food, courtesy from staff and a clean pool as a mimimum. We got all this and more. Food was a bit repetative, is it not at home? Only doubling up once or so over the two weeks. It was however always fresh and very tasty. People on here -who never eat salad and don't know a cougette from a cucumber- complaining that the choice (spanning four tables) was not enough. "Deserts are too sweet" don't eat them then....! The town of Hissaronu is a good walk, emphasis on the good, not unpleasent. Far enough away so you don't hear the loud music, but close enough so you can go and have a night out, a taxi back is only 10TL (about £4)
Go on the trips, Jeep safari and the Dalyan trip are good value but book them in the town not the hotel as you get a much better price. You can enjoy a full day out including lunch and door to door pick up/drop off for as little as £5 per person. A good tip would be take take bottles of water with you especially if travelling with children to save buying cans of pop when out and about.
Entertainment was a bit adhoc and rubbish to be fair but we didn't mind. I think the beer was watered down or something as you could drink all night and get waterlogged before drunk also the bar closes to free drinks (you can buy all night if you wish but they're bit pricey) at 11pm.
We worked it out that it costs about £17 to £20 a person per day to eat, drink and sleep as much as you want, try and get that anywhere in Britain, coupled with a great pool and almost guaranteed sun WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT? The slide was a big hit with our whole family, great fun and provided plenty of laughs. We met some lovely people who we've since met up with upon our return to the UK. The staff made us feel very welcome and were always friendly and attentive despite the long hours they worked. I have read on other reviews comments regarding the Manager coming across as rude and not being very friendly, I would ask did any of the people who came to this conclusion actually take the time to speak to him in a civil manner or did they just shout their complaints at him? We at first thought he was quite aloof and didnt seem to interact much with the guests, however after taking the time to talk to him we found him to be a very likeable person who quickly opened up and really appreciated hearing guests feedback both positive and negative.
One final note, the Turkish shave offered at the beauty salon on site at £2 is not to be missed!
We will defiantely be going back........!

I have just read the other reviews on here and I totally agree, the condition of the rooms was very poor, our 1st one (we asked to be moved) was right behind the entertainment area so very noisy. But was mouldy and the bathroom fitting left a lot to be desired. The 1st shower we had actually set off the smoke alarm! The food was very very basic, lucky if you got a choice of 2 meat meals in the evening. We actually ate out and we have never done that in an AI before, don't go near it Susan Colchester

Booked last min to escape rain. Knew nothing about the resort prior to arriving.
On arrival, the rooms were a shock to the system: very basic and barely functional. Aircon should have been included as we went AI. Shower head did not sit in fitting, so we had to hand hold it during showering. Curtain rail fell off if you were not careful. The tap swiveled on basin as it was ill fitting making it difficult to turn on and off. Thank goodness the loo flushed! Our balcony door was broken for a while during our stay.
Pool was closed at 6pm daily. Outside areas were tiled and very slippery when wet. I saw several people slip and fall over. Fortunately none of them were elderly.
Most of our time was spent away from the resort during this trip as we wanted to see the country and the culture.
The bar area constantly smelled of vomit. Food was similar every night with flies on. Staff were generally lovely until our leaving day. We were not allowed to have food or drinks (free) after 12 noon. Therefore we had to source food & drink elsewhere. This was a real shame as the rest of the Hol was all inclusive.
Entertainment was rubbish, apart from "Turkish night " when entertainers from outside the complex came to entertain us. It appeared to be a selling opportunity as a market stall appeared before the entertainment started.
They could really do better at this resort. by paying more attention to the quality of the rooms + better entertainment.
We had a great holiday as we spent most of our time outside of the resort & Turkey is a great place with lovely people. SDP Leicester

thankfully my partner and i did not spend much time at the hotel. Yes the waiters and shop keepers were very pleasant but are paid to be that way- after all we are customers. I am a nurse and i have never seen such grime in a bathroom. Hotels in the UK of this standard would have environmental health close them down... I am so glad that turkey had so much more to offer. My advice is pay for an apartment or villa if you can- at least then you can get some sleep. This was an 18-30s cheap resort. However, we spent all our time out and about and only slept and showered there, we paid all inclusive and ate only once as the hygiene was very poor. I am not a snob- but i do expect when i pay quite a lot of money for a 7 day break that the booze is not watered down and that the room is clean.personally we will not be returning to this hotel but will go back to turkey. Go out and enjoy the jeep safari, quadding, boat trip and take a bus to oludeniz ( beach is lovely) also visit fethiye market on tuesday- but do not pay over the odds for items that can bought in uk. final point- im glad we did not take our children as they would most likely have listeria by now from the food that was offered. i wish you luck if you do decide to go and stay--- you have been warned!!!!

this is an honest review by neil and maureen ... after a long night we arrived at the hotel at 6am , which wasnt the one we expected , if your like us and were expecting it to be situated by itself surrounded by pine trees with its own private rd up to it , ha think again.. as we entered the foyey we were looking for basil faulty and manwell ,(extras) the air conditioning is £25 per week , the fridges are £15 per week , which dont work and the room safes are £15 per week . so to be honest pay that bit more and get a proper 4star with everything included you,ll thank me ... the rooms are basic but clean , well ours was but some others wernt , chips and other hot food were never hot , always warm or cold and the salads had plenty of flies to share with . the beer i think is alcohol free and the spirits are watered down as we seen by our own eyes , but the raki cant be touched as it goes a milky colour when water is added , but even though the hotel is not what it was portrayed to be , we did have a great time as the friends we met were fantastic , the best place to have a pint is over the rd from entrance 4tl for a nice cold pint of effes mmmmmm ... the must have is a turkish bath/massage £8 what a bargain and also get your photo,s taken by the photographer hes excerlant and cheep .. if you want a proper nice 4 star hotel , plz go somewere else and make sure its 4 star not 4 suns before you book it .....

We stayed at Litera Fethiye Relax in June/July this year. We had a fantastic time, all of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful, pool was busy but great atmosphere and entertainment. We didnt really join in with the entertainment much, but enjoyed watching other people doing it.
The rooms were basic, but to be honest who stays in there room all day and night! Bathroom was okay, very clean - the same as the room and the rest of the hotel.
The only problem we had was the food, we found it quite basic and repetetive, but we never got ill or went hungry.
Hotel organised trips to 'Billys Beach' every day, comes to the reception of the hotel, which is a busy beach but nice with a nice restuarant there. Theres a bus station at the top of the road.
Dont listen to some of the other reviews! If you can get a good deal on this hotel then go for it, but i wouldnt pay too much for it.
