Barbella is a great place for either meals or drinks. First night we went it was to watch the football and it was the only place showing the Scotland v Croatia game. We were going for drinks elsewhere when Emre the owner asked us to come in and told us about the game so we decided after a couple we would go back. We went back and Emre seated us next to the TV which was good and the service was great and staff all very helpful and friendly. After the football (they also had the england game on another screen) the restaurant started to empty and Emre asked if I liked Fifa which made my night so he broke out the xbox and had a few games. We went back on the Thursday as there was a quiz planned but the weather was not great so only a few turned up. We decided to have lunch I had the usual cheeseburger and chips. Not expecting much i was really surprised everything homemade including the chips and it was delicious. We won the quiz but as there was no one really turned up it was just for fun. But Emre came out with a bottle of wine for us for winning which was really nice of him to do. After this Fifa was on the cards again lol. We went back that evening for steak and I had T-Bone steak with chips rice veg and a red wine and shallot sauce. which was the best steak I have ever tried and cooked perfectly. We came to the conclusion this was our favourite spot early on due to the hospitality shown by Emre and his staff and also the value and the food was amazing (the fillet steak is about a tenner and t-bone about £11.50). Can't wait to go back in July as I have unfinished business with Emre in Fifa (he is 3-2 in games). Cheers Emre and me and danielle will see you in July. Keep up the great work.
