“Brilliant 2 weeks!”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 29, 2013 via mobile

This was our third visit to this area of turkey but our first visit to this hotel and what a great 2weeks we had! We stayed on a bnb basis in a standard room through cosmos I want to give an honest account about all the positives and negatives of this hotel.
The positive
Lovely room
Wifi in room
Plenty of sunbeds
Great breakfast Turkish style but something to suit everyone they do the best pancakes!
Maid service is brilliant and they are so polite!
Hair dryer in the bathroom
Location was brilliant 15 mins by bus from olu deniz 5mins from hisoranu and 10 mins from fethiye.
Lovely clean pool area and decking and bar.
The negatives
No fridge in room- you only get this if you upgrade to a suite
Aircon £4 per day
Safe £10 per day
No balcony - apparently this is common with cosmos bookings even though it stated we would get one we didn't.
The hotel have a dog that's kept locked up all day which as an animal lover I didn't like they will let you take him for a walk if you ask :) lovely dog

My tips for anyone going here is request a room facing the pool it's very quiet that side. Take a travel
Kettle. Pay as you go don't run up a bill and pay at the end there were a few people that mentioned that things had been added to there bill that they hadn't had.

All in all we had a great holiday and can't wait to come back :)

We were moved here from another hotel so I can't really comment on value for money but will try and give an overview. We stayed 14th-21st July 2013. When we stayed the hotel was quiet which suited us fine-plenty of sunbeds and no noise at night. Room was really nice, clean and modern. We stayed on a half board basis and the food was good. Not a huge amount of choice but always good quality. We thought the location was good, dolmus and taxis just across the road so access to fethiye, hisaronu and oludeniz was easy and cheap. Don't stay here if you want to be close to the action though, there is little nearby!

A coupe of points that could be improved. Your room didn't seem to get cleaned unless you were out of it early on, and when we asked about a late check out we were told it would be £20, which seemed steep.

Returned from a weeks stay here beginning of July.
Arrived and we were helped to our room, told we had been upgraded from a standard double to a suite, it was lovely :) instead of just our room, we had a sofa and separate bedroom and bathroom, just like a small flat with tv - we didn't use so cannot comment on the channels, a fridge and wardrobe.
We had to pay £10 for the week for a safe- worth it. And 4tl per aircon unit, per night (there are two in the suites, you have to pay for both even if you don't want them) they also preferred English pounds to the lira so if you would suggest taking more Pound sterling to Lira.
Location wise if you walk down to the main road and walk about 15 minutes to your left you start to walk into Hisaranou (a lively shopping, bar and restaurant area) or take the shuttle bus there for about 70p each and to Olu Deniz (the beach part) about 90p you have to just put your arm out when a mini bus type van goes past or if you hear a beep that isn't a taxi it's normally a shuttle asking i you want him to stop. However we enjoyed our early evening strolls down to Hisaranou but for the beach in the day, definitely get on one, there's a very steep hill down to Olu deniz. We also did a couple of excursions, booked with a guy called Adnam (Hannibal Tours) on the walk down from Ovacikl to Hisaranou and from looking at other tour operators found being out of the centre to be the cheapest, if you like long boat tours around islands that look similar then the Butterfly boat tour is for you, maybe if we had been away for two weeks instead of one but felt like we missed a day we could have spent doing something more worthwhile. The sunset boat tour was nice and romantic though including a bbq dinner and a beach 'party' overall a nice evening :)
Back to the hotel, we were staying HB and found the meals quite basic but nice for what we paid extra, however we did eat out about half the time we were there and breakfast was cheap enough to eat out and not much variety but again ok for what we paid and nice option to fall back on as the week progresses.
Overall a basic, clean, cheap budget hotel, would return if staying in this area of Turkey again as a young couple we did enjoy being away from the busy/loud areas but to be close enough for the option of going out.

My partner and I stayed at the Diana Suite for 6 nights at the beginning of July 2013 after reading the positive reviews on Trip Advisor. We booked via Hotesl4U along with our transfer; I found this to be the cheapest place to book.
We decided on the B&B option with a standard room. We arrived at the hotel at around 11pm, we were shown our room which faced the main road (noise not really an issue for us), and we were advised that the air con and safety deposit boxes were charged at a day rate. Room was basic and clean. The breakfast was pleasant and served eggs, bread, cereals fruit etc. The hot drinks were dispensed via a machine so weren’t the best. The restaurant served good value and tasty lunches and dinners, the Turkish coffee was good.
Staff were friendly and helpful and so were the other guests. Plenty of sun loungers and the pool were very clean as were the toilets and changing area.
The hotel is located a 20 minute walk to Hisaranou or 5 minutes on the bus, Olu Deniz is 15 minutes on the bus as was Fethiye. The nearest restaurants are around a 10 minute walk as are local supermarkets. Would definitely recommend this hotel for its good value, quite location and a great base to explore from.

2 of 5 stars Reviewed July 4, 2013

We stayed here in June 2013: 4 adults + 2 children. My wife & I were in a double bedded room & the family were in a suite. We stayed on a half board basis. Having read other reviews we were expecting a positive experience but sadly this was not the case.
THE NEGATIVES:
1.There is no free shuttle bus service to the beach as reported in other reviews.
2. The suite room air conditioning did not work (£8/day) for the first week. We complained about it daily. With 2 young children who cant sleep in 40 degree centigrade heat air con is a must have. After refusing to pay for the first week A/C, both units were regassed & worked fine.
3. In our first week, because of few people staying in our hotel, we had no choice of evening meal. A plate of food is placed in front of the adults only ( children got nothing) & its a case of take it or leave it. In the second week, more people arrived & we got a buffet choice of 2 main dishes available from 8pm onwards......We decided to leave it & ate out after about 3 days.
4. There is no international phone facility in the Hotel, so you cant ring home unless you go down the road buy a phonecard & try to find a working public phone.
5. We found that the beds are not that comfortable in fact too hard for me but that is a personal choice.
6. Our toilet started to smell pretty bad after a couple of days. The maids work extremely hard every day, but it would be better if they were supplied with some bleach.
7. We got ripped off by the restaurant staff after day 4, so we decided to drink elsewhere. Basically we ordered 2 bottles of wine (no price list). The staff told us they were 23 Lira each. Fine, we thought as you are not allowed to bring food & drink in from outside.... a bottle of table wine in the local supermarket is about 13 Lira hmmmm..... not too bad. Asked for the bill ....90 Lira please!! They maintained that they told us 45 Lira a bottle (c£16 a bottle of Turkish table wine....I dont think so. Local restaurants charge around 25 Lira a bottle. Go figure)
THE POSITIVES:
1. Met some lovely people staying at the hotel which makes life easier.
2. The hotel is clean & the maids work extremely hard. They always had a smile for you.
3. Rooney the dog has such a lovely nature. I took him for several walks as he is stuck in his pen nearly all the time. Be warned, he pulls you up the hill like a train!!! Also he really appreciates steak bones.
4. Loved the swimming pool & terrace. Great to just chill out on those hot days.!!
5. Although the Hotel is on a fairly busy road, the double glazing is really good & you cant hear any outside noise.
6. The reception staff really do try to help, but sometimes there is a lack of communication....understandable given the language barrier.

I advise anyone contemplating staying here to do so on a Bed & Breakfast only & to pay as you go for food drinks etc Do not run up a tab.

Room Tip: make sure your air con works & refuse to pay if it doesn't.

3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Just returned from a week at Diana suites. I will give my honest opinion.

Arrived at 4in the morning to be greeted by night watchman that spoke no English at all apart from ac 8lira per night & safe £10 per week. Taken to our room. Spotlessly clean but basic. The smoke alarm batteries were low therefore it made the awful beep beep to tell you battery low at approx every 5mins. We found the nightwatchman and as he had no English he came in and heard the constant noise. He simp,y pointed at his watch Saying manger 8.00am. Imagine after a long journey no sleep due to alarm. The rooms are situated on the edge of the main Fethiye road and I mean main road. The traffic noise is horrific even in early hours of the night/day. After no sleep
We waited for manager at 8.00, no show so we went for breakfast. Average Turkish style breakfast, I would say almost edible. Disgusting coffee. The staff just stared at us and made no attempt to even say hello or show us to a table. They just stared. We smiled at them but was blatantly blanked? The breakfast is Buffett style and all the staff served themselves breakfast. Waiters, cleaners reception, nightwatchman, ALL served themselves breakfast before us , never experienced this in any of my extensive travels worldwide. So if you don't mind queuing behind all staff and having what they don't want for breakfast without even so much of a smile from them then Diana suites are for you
The smoke alarm battery eventually got changed after further reminders. At this point we asked at reception if we could change the room due to the noises traffic and no balcony or anywhere to hang wet swimwear, towels etc. we were told it would be more money. I said that was not a problem we would be willing to pay more. Anyway told to wait for the manager again. We actually stayed poolside to speak to manger and politely at all times.Waited all day and no show!! We decided not to waste anymore days so unpacked and went exploring Ovarcick. Diana Suites are close to theDolmus bus service making getting around easy. Bus service is fantastic and frequent. After being out all day we returned early evening to out room. . . . No electric!! We reported this to reception who came & fiddled with electric card & trip switch. Electric problem resolved. However as soon as we switched the light on, boom, electric off again!! Reporting this again to reception eventually we were told they were changing our room. So we then proceeded to pack up and move rooms.
Our second room was similar, still on noisy main road but clean and with electric. The next day (day 4 ) the flush on our toilet broke!! Unbelievable. Again we called reception after all surely electric and a flushing toilet are basic requirements. Anyway after a hand being held up in our face & "sorry no English" we decided that as this accomadation is just a base and we were to be out most of the day the simple solution was to use the inside of the pedal bin to pour down and flush our toilet!! On a plus the showers in both rooms worked very well. Lots of hot water with a great water pressure and soft water.
The friendliness /unfriendliness remained the same throughout the week, so we gave up even bothering to try to smile or say a simple Hello, breakfast being shared with all staff remaindedthe same for the rest of the week. If you prepare for this and are content with a clean but BASIC noisy location then this is the place for you.
The pool I must say was spotless. The water was clear, not too much chlorine really well maintened ( or perhaps it has recently been filled for season) I enjoyed the few swims in the pool. Plenty of sunbeds available with no need to reserve with your towel!
No entertainment provided as listed on website/brochure, no sign of communcation even basic greetings from staff. Literally just a noisy room.
The area of Ovarcick is really lovely, central and peaceful (unless you are sharing your room with the main road)
Had a fantastic holiday in this Olu Deniz area and certainly intend to return. However not to Diana suites. Whatever price you pay for your accomadation the most basic courtesy should be given, let alone electric & flushing toilet.
