Walked past it in the day and the patio and decor wow-ed us. Really nice ambiance and made a reservation for 3 people. Even when we got there (late) and it was super busy, they still honoured our reservation.
The food was GOOD, but not great. Not worth the prices we were paying. Great selection of turkish wines though. Some dishes were a little too oily, and my fish was a little on the bland side. As I was my Turkish fiance, I learned you have to go and haggle for the price of your fish when you select it from the display. Turkish seafood spots don't serve side dishes like rice etc., so don't expect that. SOME places will, but they're catering to the international palette.
The service was terrible though. Yes the place was busy, but they were SO understaffed. I empathized with the servers, but some things we asked for (pepper etc) took so long to get to us, our meals got cold. Also some sides we ordered, never showed up until we reminded them a 2nd and 3rd time, so kind of hard to enjoy our meals when they were coming to the table bit by bit.
It wasn't what I expected when so many people raved about it... there are nicer, cheaper alternatives all along the same sea-facing strip near Alsancak.
