The choice is vast, but you are helped along by the engaging waiters. Gozlemecim is not strictly a restaurant and not quite street food. Easy to find at the edge of the Bazaar area the welcome is great, food delicious and you eat at small tables clustered against a wall as the life of the Bazaar walks by. Ordering is simple: pick your favourite combination of ingredients and they are wrapped in a very light thin dough which is then cooked on an oiled griddle. This is local food at its very best, not a tourist trap as most of those around me were locals. Excellent for a short lunch during a busy day in Izmir. Try a yoghurt drink (Ayran) with it as it matched the pie perfectly.
