“Simple but Luxury”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed May 17, 2013

Izmir is such a beautiful city and this hotel is modestly located in the downtown area. The location is wonderful, close to the sea, close to lots of wonderful shopping, wonderful restaurants, corner stores and coffee shops. The food at this place was good. The experience was very wonderful. The staff very kind and thoughtful and the service were good. The rooms were great, the beds were comfortable and the rooms were very clean. Wi-Fi in the rooms, TV channels had great variety to choose from. Everything about this place was great. I would stay here again absolutely. The city Izmir itself is breathtaking and one of my favorites of all Turkey.

We greatly enjoyed our stay in this hotel. Our room was spacious and had nice furnishings. Room 403 is a corner room. The bed was firm and comfortable. One wall had two large windows and another had one large windows. There are two large armchairs in front of two of the windows. Instead of a minibar, there are (large) bottles of unopened spirits sitting on the desk, with some snacks on a shelf near the wardrobe.

The bath had a very large shower with a handheld spray and a big raindrop outlet at the top. The water pressure and temperature consistency were quite good.

We enjoyed both breakfast and dinner buffets in this hotel. This is the only place we stayed in Turkey that offered an omelet bar at breakfast.

The location is perfect. There are little shops nearby (and a McDonald's, if that interests you) and the waterfront is only a 10-minute walk away.

Free WiFi is available in public areas with a strong signal. We had a very week signal in our room that wasn't often usable. Some of our friends had strong WiFi in their rooms.

We were VERY happy with this hotel and would like to return here again someday.

This was a stop on a tour so we didn't choose the hotel, but we were very happy. The property is new and not totally finished but beautiful. The swimming pool in on the roof top. The staff and management went out of their way to make the stay perfect. We had a large corner room, almost a suite. There was a sitting area, a desk with chair and large comfortable bed. We did not have a bathtub, but that is typical in Turkey. The wifi worked fine. You have to get 2 logins from the front desk if you have 2 devices. The buffet was good if you like the Mediterranian diet. They did have a omelet station at breakfast. There is a small store across the street and banks, fast food, grocery stores and shops less than a block away. I had a Turkish bath in the spa. It was a fun experience. My husband and I also got massages. Very well done and reasonably priced.

Room Tip: Corner room.

We had two nights at this hotel which is very new and well appointed. The room was large and the king size bed enormous. Unfortunately the third member of our group, our adult daughter once again got stuck with a roll out bed. I really believe that hotels operating at the four or five star level can do better than this. We were able to open the windows for fresh air as the air conditioning wasn't yet operating (too early in the season). We are always hot in hotels so this was great. It was a bit noisy but worth it for the cool. The bathroom was big and the toiletries lovely but when the housekeeping staff cleaned the room they neglected to replace the toilet paper!!! There wasn't any when we returned from a day out and in urgent need! This is really unsatisfactory and a clear indication that they haven't got their processes sorted out. Greater supervision is obviously needed. The breakfast was one of the best we encountered on our tour with lots of choice and no shortages. WiFi was patchy and only operated on one device. Make sure you check out the purple couch near the lifts! Great fun for a photo! The area around the hotel has a number of supermarkets where we stocked up particularly on wine as it was really expensive at the hotel.

Room Tip: Not sure that I can help with advice. Our room overlooked the rooftops of surrounding buildings whi...

1. View from our window is a dirt parking lot with a crane and tour buses, that is when opening the window a crack. The windows are actually so dirty and dusty the view is obscured.
2. The wifi which is supposed to work in the room doesn't.
3. When using wifi in the lobby, the connection will work for one device, so my husband and I cannot be using at the same time.
4. There is no channel changer for the TV.
5. Room carpet is spotted and stained.
6. Difficult to communicate in English with front desk staff.

I have never written nor actually felt so negative about a hotel experience.

This hotel is very heart of the city. Although it is a new one, it seems that it is not professionaly managed or decorated. You need to use a few stairs to Access to the elvator which means if you have luggage it is not easy. Rooms do not have enough drawers for your belongings. And also in bathrooms they do not have enough hangers for towels.

A new hotel opened a few months ago.Its location is the big advantage with its "simple luxury". I stayed there just for one day but i managed to realize its excellent quality. Our room was large enough with all facilities and a very nice view of the city. Staff was very friendly and helpful although i would prefer a better understanding and speaking of the English language. Breakfast and dinner was very good( except my chicken which was more cooked than should be) and the man on duty of the restaurant was really good and friendly.A big disadvantage is the loud noise during the night coming from the road. I think a new hotel like this should have given more care about noise (better quality of windows).Sure I recommend this hotel and i ll go there again on my next visit to Izmir.

Room Tip: Ask for a room not so closed to the main road...perhaps it will be more quite during the night.
