“"Prestige" was not the adjective that came to mind!”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed June 24, 2013

Kaya Prestige offers rooms that urgently require renovation, and bathrooms that needed upgrading ten years ago! .

The front desk were friendly and helpful.

I was a guest of a local entity, that was obviously oblivious to international hotel standards. As I was "obliged" to stay at this hotel for a few nights, I did not complain in order to, (at least), have good service from the staff. It's more an ownership problem than a staff problem.

Wi-Fi and parking are free.

Room Tip: Try another hotel!

I stayed this hotel for business purposes.

Location

The Kaya Prestige hotel is just 10 minutes walk to Izmir Fairgrounds and also close to cafes and restaurants to Kordon which is close to sea.

The hotel is close to İzmir fair

The breakfast buffet is full such as fruits, scrambled eggs, soft and hard boiled eggs, as well as fruit, cheeses, cereals, and delicious fresh bread and others.

The staff we helpful and informative. The room was fine. Free and quality WIFI.

I recommend this hotel for short business trips.

Room Tip: Higher rooms up to get away from the street noise

This was my second stay in this hotel.I like it because it has everything that I find necessary while away from home-clean room, helpful personnel, free and quality WiFi,good breakfast, nice location and all that for a reasonable price. Also worth mentioning, the hotel has really convenient shuttle bus to and from Izmir airport which is by the way free.If I ever get to visit Izmir again I will not look for any other place to stay for this one has everything I need.

We stayed here on a night's stop over en route to Kusadasi.

The hotel is clean, comfortable and very well located.

It is a 5 minute walk from Izmir's famous Kordon district and the sea front there.

The staff were very professional and courteous: they even organised our bus tickets and transfer to Izmir!

The breakfast was good, as is the norm with hotels in Turkey.

Never had a chance to use the gym but if your'e a fitness nut then the run down the seafront is wonderful!

The location is very good just a couple of blocks from the Kordon (the Agean).

The staff was very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay.

There was free, valet parking, which was a real nice bonus for us (with a rental car).

Our rooms included breakfast, which was an OK buffet.

The dinner buffet was OK, too, but pricey.

The rooms were clean and comfortable, but small and somewhat dated.

If your doing business in Izmir, it seems like it would be an awesome choice. In the city center, close to stores, restaurants, and the waterfront walkway. Hard to beat for a business hotel. The food was actually quite good, service above average, and the rooms were nicely done. Flat screens, fairly good bedding, clean. Again, for business....awesome.

If your a traveler seeing the sights, I'd choose another place....and probably another city. I was there on a Gate 1 tour, and I found it hard to believe that any tour company with half a brain would choose that hotel. Nothing against the hotel, but as a base for cruising around a country sightseeing....not really. Convenient, but not a lot to see and limited exploration possibilities whilst on foot.

Room Tip: higher up to get away from the street noise would be my best guess. I don't believe you can see...

We stayed in this hotel as part of the GATE 1 Trip. It is in a very good location in downtown
Izmir. We could walk to the Ocean and all the restaurants along the boardwalk. It had a very
good breakfast and the room was fine. Just the beds are hard everywhere and there are no top sheets.
