Not the nicest place in the world to be honest. Now it was the first time I've been to turkey so we didnt really know what to expect, a bit ignorant we assumed it would be quite like spain, not so.
Our first impressions of the room were pure disappointent. After climbing 4 flights of stairs and fighting to open the door we were greated with the smell of poo. After flying through the night and a long bus journey our first thoughts turned to the shower which was COLD!! (yes we did try both taps).
We'd looked at the property online through the right holiday web site and expected each room to come with a kitchenette (as it boasts all rooms do). Ours came with a kettle cable, not a kettle, just a cable. No fridge that we could rent or anything so quite disapppointing again. The web site advertised air con at £15 a week. Well try £40 in reality. Us stubburn poor bums refused, and although I could cope my poor boyfriend took to sleeping on the balcony.
No food OR drink allowed in your rooms, they expect you even to buy your water from them which is a bit cheap i think. Esp since there is no way you could drink from the taps in the bathroom. Whenever we dared to go there it was holding our noses till we came out. O by the way we occasionally had hot water, occasionally.
Staff can be your best mates if you give them lots of money. Or if you're a single young girl. Bit sleezy really. We saw one of the guys who clearly thought he was hot stuff try to chat up a couple of nice looking girls the first day and then throw one of them into the pool. Might have been funny if she hadn't slipped. Pool is pretty shallow so I guess it could have been worse.
Despite my grumblings we still managed to have a good time. We kind of laughed off our misfortune and maybe if we had complained we would have gotten a nicer room. We ate there the last night and it really was quite good, probably our best meal, we went for the turkish special for two, worth gettting.
My final thoughts... well just a bit bitter about the air con. The only thing really that I regret. Prob more advisable going for a nicer apartment but we were quite close to the beach. I've stayed in way nicer hostels. What I would say is that if you're on a tight budget and you're not too fussy you might not mind the crap bits.
