Okay, This Might Be A 3*+ But To Me Its A 5*+!! ..
I've Been Here 3 Times With My Family And We've Loved It Every Time .. There Something For Everyone.. You Cant Fault The Staff At All! There All So Amazingly Friendly.. Esra's In The Perfect Location.. Its Only A 3-4 Minute Walk To THe Little Town Which Has Everything You'd Possibly Need. Theres Three Beaches And The Café's E.g. Penguin Bar Pick You Up From Your Hotel And Take You Down To The Beach For Free! Maybe The Restraunt Staff Bug You A Bit, But Trust Me You SOon Get Used To IT.. If You Have Children You MUST Buy Them THe Ice Cream.. ITs Supposed To Have Water In Which You Cant DRink But We've Been Fine Every TIme We've Had It.. And Its Worth It Just For All The Entertainment They Use To Put An Ice Cream In a Cone!! I Reccomend Going TO Ephisus And CLeopatra's Pool .. But If You Also Go In THe Summer And Have Children Ephisus Can BE Too Hot And The CHildren Just Want Water Non-Stop. Also Pamukla is A Must See Aswell!. Esra Is VEry Clean And The pools Are Fairly Decent .. Children Love The Slides And Theres a Hotel Photographer That Goes Round Taking Photos That You Can Buy AS Souvenirs!

Okay So Get Your Bags And Go :)

“didn't want to come home....”

Esra Apartments

May 31, 2008

I have just returned from the Esra and enjoyed the holiday so much I wanted to write a review immeadiately!

I travelled with my three sons (14,11,6) and thought from previous reviews that I had read that I would constanly get hassled by the Turkish men, this was not the case. All of the Esra staff were extremley friendly and helpful, it is surprising that they can remain smiling with the amount of hours they have to work (up working by 8am and still going in to early hours of the morning) and they work for such a low wage. All of staff make a point of learning your name and remember it for your stay.
My sons loved the staff and delighted in pushing them into the pool and being pushed in themselves. People were constantly pushed in to the pool, this happened to me on more than one occasion, but it helped you to get in to the cold water alot quicker!! It also provided my youngest son with hours of laughter, highlight of his holiday was mum being pushed in!
The slides were well managed and safety was paramount, the slides were great fun for the kids, I even had a go or two myself!

The food was good in the hotel and service was excellent. I had read that the hotel prices were expensive, but they didn't appear to be much more expensive than any of the places oustside, only a few liras. Compared to Valentines where we ate once they were cheap!!

The rooms were spacious enough and were kept very clean, well done to the maids that had too look after our room on a daily basis, as my kids are not the tidiest. Even the maids were smiling and saying good morning.

We went with Holidays4U and this was the only company that had a rep in the hotel every day, very impressed with this as well.

My only regret was that we were only there for a week.

I will definetly return to the Esra as soon as I can...

Esra hotel was really nice,we had a 1 bedroom apartment very clean and basic. Are room was on the second floor above the bar, which was noisy till early hours but it did'nt bother us. They had entertainment like turkish night which my son loved because of the belly dancer. The food in the hotel is exspensive we ate out alot. Be aware when you go out the turkish keep hassling you to eat in there restaurants which was annoying they dont like hearing the word NO.The staff at esra were polite some times but most of the staff are men, and they really did loved themselves. When you go there ask for ozzie 1 of the staff to do his dance he is so funny .The pools were always kept cleaned and checked every day.The second pool round the otherside of the hotel my kids loved because of the waterslides but they only run 3 times a day for half hour. Be careful what you leave around the pool, when we was there some one had there trainers taken from under there sun lounger, and then the following week when they went back home one of the staff were wearing the missing trainers.A few things went missing like towels, shoes, clothes, etc.Only downfall around the pools was people queueing first thing in the morning to put there towels down on the loungers, dont no whose worse us brits or the germans. For are first holiday in altiknum was really good we enjoyed are stay at esra and liked the area of altinkum.
