“Worst Customer Service, Housekeeping, and Breakfast”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed November 24, 2012

Our only way to arrive in Pamukkale was on an over night bus. We arrived at about 5am. When we reached the hotel nobody was working. The door was locked and we waited for 2-3 hours outside, as the room I was paying for was empty. The first employee to let us in was breakfast staff, and she told us we would have to wait for another person to get us our room. I believe it was the owner who arrived, and he got us our room without checking in. The room was small with very little space for luggage. The decoration in the room was nice. After resting, I returned to the front desk to finishing checking in. This is where I met another employee. I did not mention anything about the long wait in the morning, but he proceeded to explain that he was waiting until 3am for us to check in. I told him that we could only arrive on an over night bus, and I expected to the hotel to be open 24 hours. He continued to give excuses (low season) why there was working in the morning. There was no apology or compensation received, just excuses. Our room was never cleaned during our stay. The breakfast was completely pitiful. It was the cheapest I have had during all my stays in Turkey. I would never return to this hotel, unless I received some sort of compensation to give them a second chance.

They are very desorganized. We made the reservation almost one month before and when we got there, the hotel was full and we had no room to stay, even after receiving the confirmation e-mail and paying 10% in advance. They said they don't check the e-mails when its low season. So, be careful, you may end up without a room to spend the night!

We stayed here for one night between Goreme and Selcuk. Wish we had booked here for two. Pamukkale Village itself is very small and this hotel is easy to find following the hotel's excellent directions. We were pleasantly surprised by the room and common areas of the hotel. Quite spacious. It is very close to the travertines (walking distance). We ate dinner here as we had had a full day of driving already. The meal was good if not outstanding. Breakfast was the usual selection with a few hot options. The staff were helpful and pleasant at all times and the rooms were clean and well appointed. Couldn't really ask for more.

Large, clean, nicely decorated rooms for good price. Great food at the restaurant. Easy walking distance to the tavertines. Stayed here with our two kids (w/baby + toddler) and another couple (w/baby). They gave us a room with 3 rooms and provided a baby cot for the other couple. Dusty town with some truly amazing sights.

The hotel is very conviniently located to Pamukkale - just a short walk away. A little further than most hotels in town but this also means it is in a quieter location. The area surrounding the hotel is a little rough but generally the whole town is a little rough.

The lobby, common areas and restaurant are perfectly clean and beautifully decorated. However the room was a little dated and some of the wall paper was falling off to reveal a large amount of black mould behind.

The food in the restaurant was good with the bonus of being able to avoid the obnoxious touts at the restaurants in the town center.

We stayed here just one might but wished we could have stayed more. The hotel is under 10 minutes walk to the travertines. The rooms are beautifully decorated and the bathroom was updated with a fabulous shower. The entire hotel was nicely done with Turkish arts and crafts. The breakfast was quite good and they have a restaurant on the premises as well (we didn't avail of the restaurant). Great value for money.

We spent one night at the Venus Hotel and thought it was a good place to stay in Pamukkale. The room was small, but comfortable and clean, and a great value for the price. We also had dinner there, which was good and quite inexpensive.
