I travel in Turkey a lot and know the ropes and the tricks. I always agree the rates in advance and check if its dollars or Euros. Unfortunately this Hotels management say one ting and when its time to pay, you guessed it, its in what ever currency they choose, agreed rates don’t mean anything. They have your credit card and they are going to charge it. Also watch out for the phone charges they can very soon add up to more than the room bill and that’s just for calls within Turkey. They are the most expensive I have ever come across, they are even more expensive than Indian hotel phones. My advice is to go up the road a few hundred meters and there are much better hotels much cheaper and with warm friendly staff. Smiling, happy and eager to please.
