“Good position!!!”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 11, 2013

The place was quite clean and the bathroom too. The location is perfect, 2 min away from the travertin pools! Nothing spacial, but good for budget travellers.
The pictures you see in booking.com with the swimming pool is not the pension's pool!!!!

We were picked up by a dolmas after a weird 4 hour coach trip from Fethiye where all the seats were wet and were given cardboard to sit on!!!! The driver took us to his brothers hotel and we hadn't prebooked so asked to see the room and didnt like it, no windows which upset the brother and we walked away but then the driver came out and asked what we wanted and I said a room with a view so he said my sisters hotel and she came and got us and took us to the room and there were the travetines right outside the windows!!! Breathtaking, stunning, we were told 50tl but she pushed us to 60tl with breakfast. I had my first bath in the deep shower basin so that was great, just had to let the water run a bit and it was hot. Woken up @ 6.30am with the minarettes prayers and saw how close the church was in the morning! But to open the curtains to that view was heaven and I wouldn't have wanted to have been anywhere else. The sister could barely speak English so it was a sign language but the husband spoke good English and all were very accommodating. The room was basic, breakfast good except no toast!!! I would definately stay there again because it was good value for money and friendly.

Room Tip: Just ask for a room with The view!!!!

Firstly, this is a pension not a hotel but the rooms are quite large and the wireless is very good. THe heating is central heating but the owners had it on all the time (a nice change to other pensions we stayed in around Turkey).

The meals were excellent home cooking and even provided Korean and Japanese menus.

The limestone pools are a short walk away as is the bus stop and small corner stores for snacks and water.

The owners have a lot of information on the area and helped us organise a visit to Aphrodisias even though there wasn't enough people around to organise a tour for a very reasonable cost. ($50 for the 2 of us).

this city is lovely to stay in. very close to the terretines itself (2min walk) and wide variety of different dishes for a good price. Good menu with japanese, chinese, korean and turkish food we were really pleased with that. Owners were really nice and helpful. Room was really basic and you could hear the prayer at 5 in the morning a little too good.. but overall a great stay for a great price

We stayed at the Kale Guesthouse with our 3 kids, ages 8, 4 and 4. We've been travelling for 10 months now and this is definitely just a mediocre place to stay. The rooms are of average cleanliness and the hotel is of average value for this price range in Pamukkale.
Pros: The location is very close to the travertines, about 200 metres away. Breakfast was plentiful and good (except the fruit, which was all overly ripe)
Cons: Rooms are small. The door had a cheap lock that didn't lock properly. The front rooms are very, very loud. The mosque sounds like it is in your room (which is not good at 4:30 am). There is no swimming pool, even though all their ads say they have one. Guests have access to a swimming pool at a different hotel, about 500 metres away.
Overall, this hotel is OK if you are in a pinch but there are better places to stay in Pamukkale.

The view is so nice, straight view to the Pamukkale, and the location is exactly in the centre of Pamukkale village, where I can walk about 1 minute from the bus stop. It's super for the price 50tl for couple. The breakfast is good with Turkish sosis, salad, bread and egg. I dont think I can find a better hotel in this place. The sahibi is very nice with the detailed guide for us about the tour Pamukkale ( I recommended also the tour Pamukkale, the guider is so so nice and the buffet couldn't be better with the traditional turkish cuisines). A little not so well is the wifi, we cant access to this wifi even the wifi box is 5 meter from our room :(.

Kale Guesthouse is located 5 minutes walking from the Natural Springs. It's on a small block with other small guesthouses and restaurants. It's small and average. The owner (family owned) are very nice and helpful. The main floor has a Asian/Turkish restaurant. The food was actually really good. We had some down time waiting for our overnight bus going to Goreme and I slept on the couch and the owner didn't mind whatsoever.
