On my first trip to Cappadocia in late June I had the opportunity to spend three nights at Temenni Evi with my girlfriend and a male friend from the US. We were greeted by the owners, Saadettin and his wife, and immediatly felt like part of their family. The perfect location of the hotel at the highest point of the village provides fascinating views of the village and the surrounding rock formations.

The rooms, nicely and tastefully decorated with art and handcrafted items, and complemented by spacious bathrooms with jacuzzi tubs, provided the atmosphere of sleeping in a cave or in a castle.
Also remarkable, since not necessarily the norm in Turkey, was the absolute cleanliness everywhere in the hotel.

We tried and very much enjoyed the freshly prepared 4-course dinners at the hotel, featuring the finest of Turkish cuisine.

The hotel also organized and coordinated side trips, such as a balloon ride and guided tours for us.

With their superb service and care for their guests, Saddettin and his family helped to make our stay a highly memorable experience.

The hotel rates are not the lowest in the area, but we got what we payed for. We are very much looking forward to come back to Temenni Evi.

I stayed at Temenni Evi while on a HF Walking Holiday in Turkey and can say I was absolutely delighted with this hotel. The owners/host and hostess were so gracious, as were their staff and could not have been more accommodating and hospitable. The quality and presentation of food was wonderful, the views spectacular, and a room that was modern yet still in keeping with a cave hotel which made the stay even more delightful. I had the best holiday ever in Turkey.

“Stay Here!!”

Temenni Evi

Jun 24, 2008

Cappadocia is an amazing place and our experience was made even more memorable from staying at Temmeni Evi.

This is a charming boutique hotel which has been painstaking transformed from an original cappadocian house. The rooms were very pleasent with good light, traditional decoration, (many pieces hand made by sardi's wife) and warm. My husband and I shared a deluxe room which was plenty big enough for us to spread out.

The proprietor, Sardi, was a magnificent host and he could not do enough to make our stay pleasurable. He even insisted on picking us up after our hammam which was only 5 minutes walk away so we did not get cold!!. We really did feel like we were guests in his home as opposed to "customers". We enjoyed a delicious breakfast daily and shared a drink with he and his wife in the evenings before we headed out for our evening meal. He is a truly lovely person and deserves to do well.

Make sure you check out the fabulous view from the roof terrace and if you are lucky enough Sardi might even show you a "surprise" part of the property.

We have stayed in many "good" hotels in our time and this one was very special. I would have no hesitation in recommending it anyone.

“Temenni Evi is a special place”

Temenni Evi

Feb 29, 2008

The Temenni Evi is a beautiful place. Myself and 5 friends stayed here for a weekend. The owner made us feel very at home and he also stayed at the hotel so that if we needed anything he would be available. The rooms are beautiful and quite comfortable. My only issue was that it is quite a steep walk and since it was snowy and icy, it was a bit difficult to make my way up and down from the hotel. This hotel is well worth the money.
