“Gamirasu- home away from home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

'Gamirasu' is a picteresque and quaint cave hotel located in a charming and serene location..even though it is a bit away from the city center, the hotel offes a shuttle to the city center. Also, all tour operators organise a pick up from the hotel premises thus making it very easy to commute.
The service here is so tinged with affection and care that it feels like home.Being vegetarian often poses a problem in terms of food choices but not here where chef Kamil prepares meals of your choice and every item tastes exceptionally good! A special mention must be made for Dawud, Osman and Yakub who assist with a smile and are extremely helpful. Hamida with her cheerful smile is a pleasure to talk to...
The wifi access throught the hotel makes it extremely convenient to stay connected..I look forward to coming back here and soaking in the warmth and hospitality once again.

Arriving at this hotel is already a unique experience as one goes down a very steep hill to arrive at what seems a fairy tale location. One is greeted by a very friendly staff who learns your name and uses it at every opportunity. They insist that this is your home and they make every effort for you to be at ease. The rooms are comfortable, the bathrooms luxurious and the location stunning. We ate in the restaurant where the food was good and the atmosphere in sync with the location. Breakfasts had something for everyone and for all tastes. Hamida and her staff bent over backwards to be helpful. This is by far one of the best hotel experiences I have ever encountered. Bravo to Hamida and her staff for making our stay in Cappadocia one to be remembered fondly.

Room Tip: As the hotel is built in a cliff, many rooms can only be accessed by climbing a number of stairs. W...

When we arrived we were made very welcome and upgraded to the Byzantine suite which is the largest cave room in Cappadocia. The staff were all very friendly and helpful, but not intrusive. Our stay certainly exceeded expectation.
We had the great pleasure of meeting the owner of the hotel. His philosophy in developing this property and attitude to ensuring the comfort and wellbeing of the guests was evident through all the staff. Osmond Jacob and co made us feel more like part of a family than as guests in a hotel, which is obviously due to his influence.

The dining experience was excellent and a fire was lit each evening in our room. This is a hotel we could highly recommend to any-one.

As a corollary to our stay, we mentioned this hotel to a guide in another part of Turkey. She knew of it, had also stayed there, and said it is very highly regarded as a Cave Hotel.

If you have not experienced a cave hotel, we can only recommend you start with Gamirasu!

The hotel rooms are extremely clean and well maintained. The staff at the reception (Emre, Hameeda) were very friendly and extremely co-operative. To be honest, i would rate this hospitality as one of the best ever I have got. I couldnt believe the fact that every time you would call the reception for something, the staff would be in your room in less than 30 seconds.

The restaurant staff (Dawood, Yaqoob and Fatih) were amazing and very quick to take care of our needs. This was much desired since I was travelliing with my wife and two kids. The other staff were also very prompt in their service.

Overall, a 10 on 10 rating for this hotel. Absolutely wonderful place, most recommended.

Have just returned from spending 3 nights at this wonderful hotel.I was travelling on my own and
never once did I feel alone. The hotel was an experience never to be forgotten, set in volcanic
rock in the middle of a village surrounded by the most interesting architecture. The staff were so
attentive and friendly, could not help enough and the food was the most delicious I have ever tasted in any hotel, completely organic. I was fortunate to spend a day with a local family living in the village and felt envious of their so relaxed life style. This trip is one I will never forget ,has left me with such happy memories.

I think is the best place I have ever stayed in my life. Everything since the magical and amazing cave rooms to the service of the staff is outstanding. People are extremely nice and they make you feel a truly turkish experience. I strongly recommend this place to anyone looking for comfort, luxury and excellent service at a very reasonable price. Every single room is different and decorated as medieval turkish, roman and bizantine style. Very big rooms with jacuzzi and hot tubs, big beds, fireplace and turkish carpets. I would give this place an 11/10. Thank you Gamirasu Cave Hotel.

We spent three nights in this amazing place. Excelente service. All the staff practice the Turkish way of receiving that believe that if we are happy, they are happy! Wonderful!
Special thanks to Hamid and Camil, the cuisine chef, they were very kind with us.
