“The splendor of village's nature”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 8, 2012

As most of the people would see of this "hotel" an outdated and horrible one, i see in it a magnificent place to stay in , if you are not searching for a luxurious prestigious place.
it is located in the mountains of cappadokia , in the heart of the old village, far from the routines of urban-ism.
the old brick roads and walls all around the way , the nature in its best image the birds the breathe ... even if the rooms and furniture are old, even if the service is horrible, just wake up in the early morning, stand outside, and see that feeling you get , when the silence of the place touches ur soul , when the shy sun beams hits your eyes and the cold refreshing breathe tickles your body, then you will forget about the service and everything.
its not poetry im writing, but i was really touched by that place.
there is a nearby wine cave , you can visit and buy local wines, its v.nice too.
a 10mins walk can tacke you to the local market where you can find some restos and pubs.

the best time to visit is between june and august, otherwise there would be snow, i guess.
if you are a family with kids it may not suites you neither for business. if you are a group of friends or a retired couple , a nature lover, seeking a romantic and cozy stay, away from the city's etiquette and noises, i highly recommend this place.

p.s some of the staff talk french

We arrived late in Urgup and went to the Turban Hotel because it was close to our hotel. the dining room was huge and depressing. We ate the buffet style dinner before we knew the price. The meal was the only awful dinner we had during our three week vacation in Turkey. We were charges 50 TL for the dinner. Several hours later we both became VERY sick for the next 24 hours.

If you're after a no frills hotel and don't plan to spend a long time in your room then this hotel is for you!

The hotel is located on the outskirts of Urgup (about 10 mins from the centre) so we found it very convenient for restaurants etc. It's set in large grounds and has a number of room blocks so making it ideal for large tour groups. Our room was pretty outdated and the whole place could do with modernising but we weren't here to spend a great deal of time in the rooms!

The staff were friendly enough and a very big plus for us was a very large swimming pool to do some decent laps. Breakfast was very basic - typical Turkish.

Stayed here for two nights while visiting the magnificent area of Cappadocia.
The hotel is composed out of several buildings where the rooms are.
We were dropped off in the dark and had to look for a while for our room which was not indicated on the signs.
Breakfast wasn't bad. A selection of cold and hot. There was only fruit as desert in the morning.
In the evening again a selection of cold and hot. I've had better, I've had worse.
The staff was friendly and helpfull.
Also a hotel which is mainly used to accomodate groups while they are on a tour.

my wife & I spent 2 nights here with a French group visiting Cappadocia. This place needs serious refurbishment.. our room was "dated",the bathroom shower was pathetic, the small window didn't close properly and let in mosquitoes. Some of our group said that there were bedbugs;the sheets were dirty;rooms weren't made up..it was awful! The dinner arrangements were hectic and the staff in the dining room were like zombies! The dining room was set out badly with very little room to move. There was no fresh or tinned fruit available for breakfast but it appeared for dinner!
The only good points were the front desk people and the fact that our room fridge, which didn't work, was replaced within 10 minutes.
Don't go here if you're looking for luxury!

Forget this hotel.

Bad service, bad cleaning, cats walking in the restaurant during breakfast and dinner, no hot milk in the morning, horrible buffet, lazy waiters, rooms need reconstruction, parts of the hotel in very bad state, nothing positive.

Been there on a group trip organized by Viva Tours - Spain. Never again.

2 star hotel or in european standars zero.

Please do not stay there.

we went to this horrible hotel as part of a tour group with my wife. The rooms were so dirty. There were bugs and ants all over the room. The employees were so rude. We were told that there is a disco in the hotel we wanted to go there just to see what it looks like and to see if we can have fun. It was closed,The staff at the reception first told us that the disco would be open later at night, but when it was the time, they told us that they called the general managerand he ordered them not to open the disco, although as a group of guests we requested that they open it. I am not a disco fan myself, but I believe that the customer is always right. The general manager should be there to make our stay a comfortable one. What the customers want should be more important than the general manager's orders. The meals are also horrible, and the tables at the restaurant are most of the time dirty. Not but not least; there was a lady in our group. She put hung the "please clean our room" tag on her door in the morning. The maid, who cleanded the room took her private towel. When she asked the reception about her towel, they said they wouldn't be able to tell where it is. When we were finally leaving the hotel, they paid her for the towel they lost. But they acted as if she was after money.
