“Treasure Cave”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed October 24, 2013

Amazing hotel. All the rooms are different, as they are each built around caves. Our bedroom was in the actual cave, the lounge area was in a sympathetically added on room. The hotel is in a quiet part of town, it gives the impression that you are out in the countryside. The food and service were excellent.

My husband and i had such a pleasant stay at MDC in early Oct 2013. Great service provided by friendly hotel staff. Mustafa, the general manager, was very welcoming to receive us and personally did the briefing about the hotel when we checked in. The room we had was beautiful, very spacious, clean and comfortable. Great view surrounding the hotel. We had dinner at the hotel restaurant and the food was really good (eggplant and the beef stew so yummy), thanks to Ercon who gave us his recommendation on food and wine and served us so well. Breakfast spread was good with local pancake freshly made.
Overall, Mustafa and his staff did an excellent job with making the guests feel very welcomed, relaxed and well taken care. Fantastic stay. Highly recommend MDC.

As we rode up the driveway in our shuttle, my sister and I were awestruck. The setting is beautiful, and the surrounding landscape is what you would expect in Cappadocia. We were met outside by Mustafa, the manager. At reception, we were given something to drink. I had water. My sister had apple tea. We were then escorted to our cave suite. It was so luxurious. The handmade furniture and carpets were beautiful. The floors were heated. We had a Jacuzzi, rain shower, and marble sink. Free tea and coffee was provided in the room.
We had breakfast at the hotel every morning. They offered omelets made to order, and they had 2 Turkish women in traditional clothing making "pancakes". The food at the restaurant was excellent. For dinner, I had chicken kebabs on a eggplant puree with rice and an assortment of fresh vegetables. Delicious.
Upon our return to our hotel from daily excursions, we were met outside by Sun one of the hotel's great staff members. She was friendly and professional. Always greeted us with a sincere smile. Hamdi, staff member at their restaurant, was also very kind and attentive. The hotel provides transportation to and from the center of town. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel. You will not be disappointed. It is warm, welcoming, beautiful and breathtaking.

"Best Hotel Ever" how to make our day! Thank you for mentioning the handmade furniture as the caves all have their own uniqueness in size and design. All doors , windows, closet cupboards were made individually on site to accommodate the various sizes. The staff thanks you for mentioning them and hope to see you again.

This is by far the most amazing hotel have ever had the privilege of staying in. The rooms were stunning, with free wifi. The staff were incredibly friendly without being over familiar. The restaurant was delicious. I can not think of anything to fault this hotel. On the morning we left, our car picked us up a 6:30am, and they even packed us a breakfast box to take with us! Absolutely wonderful hospitality. 100% recommended.

Room Tip: All a beautiful

Mustafa the manager met us on the steps of the hotel property and warmly welcomed us. He introduced us immediately to his staff and offered us something to drink. He patiently waited for us to finish our tea and took us to our cave suite. The room included a sitting area with desk, tv room, bedroom and bathroom with jetted tub. The room was warmly decorated with accent lighting, niches and area rugs. It was spotless and in like new condition. We have eaten dinner both nights in the dinning room and enjoyed live music both evenings. Our waiter Hamdi Gurbuz was very attentive and professional while making us feel as if we we old friends as we chatted with him. Fatih Derin was our chef for the evening and I ate the chicken kabobs both nights and they were tender with generous portions. We also ate breakfast (included in the stay) and it was by far the highest quality and provided the best service for an buffet breakfast. We stayed in two other hotels and the breakfast was good in one, crazy at the other (both we included in the price also) They had 2 lady's making savory pancakes on a traditional pan of some kind and a chef making omelets to order. All I can say about our stay so far has been they go the extra mile to give special touches you will always remember. Once on the property you feel secluded with a country feel. The drive leading up to the property was dusty and gave the wrong impression. It's a good value with high quality service.

Mustafa and his team are the best that I've ever come across in hotel management. We were greeted the moment we arrived and stepped out of our van and guided through out our stay.
The hotel chef prepared some of the best food I have ever enjoyed and prices were very reasonable. The experience of staying in a hotel room carved into the side of a Turkish hillside was a experience that'll live with me for a long time.

Room Tip: Any room will serve you well and it'll be a unique experience.

Lovely hotel built into the caves. Hotel was lovely, clean and really unique. Beautiful rooms, wonderful views from the many terraces. Staff was very helpful, including one young man who spent a lot of time trying to help my husband access the internet. Mr Ercan, our waiter at dinner was very nice, as were ALL the other staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyway needing a place to say near Cappadocia.

Room Tip: Make sure the room has a window to the outside (maybe all of them do?).
