“Great local food”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 28, 2014

I was at PANORAMA Restaurant in July with my wife and our two daughters (3 & 10).
The food is really good...if you want to try real local food and run away from the "menu of the day"...Panorama is a very good choice.
The owner, Ismael is also a great entertainer and can help you with local tips.

“Traditional food - excellent”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 21, 2014 via mobile

Yesterday evening we wandered through the small very nice Capadoccian city and wanted to get to the Mountain view. We were a bit lost in the streets. In our way up the pave street we met Ismail - and he "got us"right at the spot. This man is a "heart in the hand" type of guy. He was down the street for meeting with his family (ramadan) but he cancelled it, showed us his restaurant (that was round the corner we stood). We agreed on the menu and he showed us the way to the top so we can savely return for a dinner. We did and it was great! The food was very traditional - soup, eggplant filled with chicken, mushrooms and vegetables, then kofte with rice and potatoes and lots of meze small dishes to combine and spice up food. Marvellous! Well, if you want to get another kebab like anywhere in the world, than go to the center and you can choose from plenty of choices. BUT if you want to try the real Cappadocian food, go and meet Ismarl at his small Panorama.

“A lovely restaurant with a great view”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 20, 2014

Wonderful little spot with an entertaining owner (who speaks English quite well). Arrived here prepared to look at the menu, but instead he brought me down to his kitchen and showed me all his ingredients and options to choose from. Came back to the table with a large plate of appetizers (all EXCELLENT). Vegetarian friendly and the food was delicious. He is very attentive and makes sure you have a delicious meal and a good time. Nice views especially at night. Was there twice and both times it was not crowded, but I can't imagine why. He is very proud of his restaurant as he should be. Would certainly go back again. Meal was about 25 TL each for dinner.

“Simple meal friendly family style service”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed July 17, 2014

The man who owns this little unpretentious family style restaurant is busy re decorating as well as providing good interesting but relatively simple meals which he prepares himself. His English is good and he loves to talk about what he is trying to achieve in his work in progress.
All this on a verandah with a view across the valley that would do justice to a five star restaurant.
We look forward to hearing about his development and wish him well.
One of the beast meals and hospitality we had in Turkey.
