The museum cave hotel is the best hotel in Cappadocia. The hotels views are breath taking, the food excellent the staff extremely helpful and fantastic hospitality loved it over all. The spa was good too. The rooms superb the size the decor and the whole cave atmosphere in the room just fantastic. The staff I salute them what service and I also salute the people who trained them, three cheers for all of you. Will be back soon

Gorgeous hotel with a breath taking view! Our stay was made even more memorable by the extra ordinary, personalised service & attention we got from Ertugrul and Arzu. Its an absolute must see and a highly recommended stay!

If you're visiting Cappadocia, you won't find much better than the Museum Hotel in Uchisar.

The hotel is built right into the side of the bluff, with many of the rooms personalized into unique cave dwellings. The grounds themselves are gorgeous, with a beautiful mosaic-tiled pool and rich gardens complete with roaming peacocks and turtles. The view over the valley and out towards Gerome is spectacular, especially at sunset. As for the food, the breakfast spread is mouth-watering. The spread is fresh and the chefs certainly know what they're doing -- we even were served champagne one morning (it's never too early for champagne in my book). We never dined at the restaurant at night, so I can't comment on that. The room service at night was good but nothing too spectacular.

My only real complaint is that when we asked the front desk for help in terms of organizing activities (hot air balloon, horseback riding, etc.) we were immediately given a hard sell without being provided options. For example, we were told that we needed to immediately book the hot air balloon trip through them for $175 even though when we looked on our own we were able to find a really high quality company offering the same services for significantly cheaper. We also found that we could save quite a bit of money by organizing our own airport transportation rather than relying on the hotel's services. It would not surprise me at all if the hotel was making money as some kind of quasi-travel agency.

Anyway, the hotel ranks overall as one of the top places I've ever stayed. The location is splendid, the rooms are unique, comfortable and memorable and the service is top notch.

Had the pleasure of staying here for four nights. Couldn't fault it. Breakfast is outstanding and the staff our wonderful.
Amazing setting overlooking the valley to Goreme.
The rooms are a little dark but that is part of the experience. Dined two nights in the restaurant and the service was outstanding. Food was good but not great.
We stayed in the lazy hunter room. Bed was very comfortable and even got a pillow menu. Wine, Turkish delight and nibbles on arrival in the room
Would recommend

We loved staying at the Museum-Hotel in Cappadocia. This serene and sophisticated cave hotel is a treasure. We spent 4 days here, which gave us time to not only see the sights but to relax at this beautiful and unique hotel.

My favorite experience was joining Chef Mustafa on a trip to the market. Along with Melissa, a lovely young woman who translated for us, we drove about 20 minutes to a small market to choose the fruits and vegetables we would need to cook our own lunch. On the way back we stopped to view the amazing site known as "the three sisters."

We headed into the kitchen where my husband joined us. Chef showed us how to prepare stuffed aubergines, stuffed grape leaves, a lovely spring salad, stuffed apples, and a rich crepe-like dessert. Side-by-side with the chef and his staff was so much fun. I have taken some cooking classes in the states but never experienced anything like this.

Room Tip: Each room is unique. Do not worry about the cave rooms being too dark -- we stayed in Kandilli (lit...

How would you like to sleep in a cave - maybe not - but what if it was a large cave, with great creature comforts, decorated with antiques, offering a spectacular view over the Cappadocian landscape, had a friendly and very efficient staff, an infinity pool, outdoor dining and lovely furnishings. Well that pretty well sums up the Museum Hotel.

We were here for four nights and this stay ranks among the most pleasant and exciting stays we've had. If we go back to Cappadocia we'll stay here again. I does come at a pretty price, but it is still an excellent value.

Room Tip: Ask for a view - if for nothing else to see about 100 hot air balloons taking off each morning. Som...

The Museum Hotel is aptly named, for it does in fact contain a large number of beautiful Turkish artefacts and antiques spread throughout the hotel in both the public areas and the extremely spacious rooms. Bathrooms are also very generous and superbly equipped. Rooms are situated on multiple levels winding the way down the hillside. Flower gardens with peacocks, turtles etc. pop up around hidden corners. Each room is distinctive and ours overlooked the broad valley for a stunning view. Service is first rate. We only ate breakfast at the hotel during our four night stay and it was excellent. For those so inclined, you can get an early morning shave by a Turkish barber on the terrace overlooking the valley. All in all, a stunning property.

Room Tip: Ask for a room with a view since some rooms really are caves and thus without a view.
