“Stunning setting”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed September 12, 2013

Well situated in a little village close to all sight seeing in Cappadocia. Lovely, peaceful setting, with spectacular views. Rooms were very spacious and so unique. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly and we loved all the personal touches, e.g homemade baking and preserves included in the breakfast menu. Our local independant guide of the area informed us that this is one of the best hotels in the area.

We (eight of us) stayed here August 18-21st. What a wonderful experience. The warmest most welcoming staff and owners(and their friends). Our rooms were all different and beautiful. We went ballooning our first morning there. One of my friends broke her ankle when we walked back to the van to return to the hotel. Once they learned about this (at the hotel) they moved them to a huge suite with less steps and did all they could to make her comfortable. The breakfasts were huge and delicious . One night when we came back to the hotel we all wanted something sweet. When we asked if there was any dessert in the restaurant, they set a table for us and brought some delicious sweets, offered tea or coffee and it was at no cost. By the time we left, we felt like part of the family!! I would love to go back and plan on recommending Taskonaklar to anyone I hear that is heading to Cappadochia.

Room Tip: All rooms are fabulous!!

This was the most peaceful place to stay on earth. The staff were wonderful and welcoming and made you feel at home. The room luxurious, bed had egyptian cotton sheets and so comfortable. Facilities in room outstanding. Meals were superb and when arrived home provided with complimentary drink and snack. Excellent wifi access. Close to catch local bus to town. In the evening nice to sit outside and look at stunning views.Inthe morning the hot air balloons go past your back door. Immaculate and clean. This is the most unique place we have ever stayed and highest rated yet. Thank you for the wonderful experience.

One of the best parts of our Turkey trip.
Great position and lovely complex and rooms, very helpful friendly staff with the numerous queries we had.
Cappadocia is an experience that anyone going to Turkey needs to do, as it is a very unique and being in such lovely accomodation added to this.
Do the Balloon trip and the next morning go and watch the Balloons from the "Castle" just a few minutes walk or maybe even at hotel depending on which way the wind is blowing.
Only thing is the Dinner could have had more flavour but the menu does change each day so maybe we got the wrong night but views/lighting/music still made it nice.

This stunning boutique property is a hidden gem in Uchisar. After a very long overnight bus ride from Istanbul, I was greeted by friendly staff and shown to my cave room. The room is stunning and I love the cave shower and uniqueness of the property. The breakfast is all homemade and they offer Turkish tea and cake between 5 to 6pm where you can sit on the terrace and watch the amazing views. The food is superb and room service is available until 9pm each day.

I throughly recommend this hotel and although it is perfect for couples on a romantic break, it is also great for solos who just need to unwind, relax and enjoy an amazing view. I loved it!

Room Tip: All rooms are superb.

One thing in life is certain, change. With regards to trskonaklas, going past some old reviews the change was much welcomed.

So how to describe our experience and the new staff at Takonaklar, the little hotel nestled in cappadocia? well, It's like a warm big hug from your mum or a hot chocolate on a winters day. The welcome and service was so warm, so genuine and so happy it was infectious.

We arrive and are treated by name by the lovely Valery (that hasn't happend in a while in my travels) . There is a gentle softness about each word she mutters as she take us to the room and explains the ins and outs. There is no rush and a new pace is much welcomed after our days in Istanbul . for the reminder of the stay, she is there to assist, with everything for a taxi to town, to the best place to eat, or a late checkout.

Our Room 109 was lovely with a private terrace plenty light and space enough for 3 guests. The bathroom was beautiful. It is all a little low. Being almost 6ft, you do have to bend a little. the hotel is original with stellar views, jazz playing in the garden, little lovely local touches everywhere. There was no air con just a fan, but we didn't need it during our stay.

Dinner is made fresh and needs to be preordered the day before , so we are given some recommendations for near by hot spots. Too tiered to make the 2 minute walk, we plonk ourselves in front of the valley with a bottle of wine. It is at this moment we meet the true delight of the hotel Ilyas . Zooming around guests, he is the embodiment of sunshine in a human. Smiling, helpful, taking photos from all the right angles, topping up drinks, fetching blankets and arranging the tables to look just right almost all unprompted. Ever details is thought of , with a beaming smile, my mum and i gush: Wow This is service, we never want leave.

We mentioned we are peckish but have no energy to make the walk, and enquier about snacks in 10 minutes a feast arrives from nowhere. Fresh cheese, cucumbers, olives tomatoes, amazing stuffed peppers and fried cauliflower with a delicious dipping sauce (we later discover only 13 euro was charged for our perfect banquet) . Our glass is never empty and Ilya never too far.

I won't bore you with the rest of the stay, as each day seemed a delight . We did see some rooms in the hotel that looked a little dark . So Do ask for a room that gets the beautiful sun. Do wake up early to see the balloons. Do have the wine overlooking the valley and watch the sunset and what ever you do Don't look at some of the old reviews. Change is here at Taskonaklar book it!

Room Tip: Some rooms appeared dark due to the obvious cave element . So just check upon booking.
