“No air conditioning at night”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed June 16, 2013

On our recent trip to Turkey, the trip included joining a tour and independent travel, we stayed at numerous hotels all with very similar attributes. These hotels are all considered four or five star. So as not to be repetitive I am going to explain that we found that the hotels cannot be compared to the North American standard. That said we were very impressed with the staff of all of the hotels unless noted below. Our pet peeve would probably be the non-smoking policy. We let it ride numerous times but always brought it to the attention of the hotel staff, to educate them, it was not going to be a deal breaker though. Our belief is you are in a foreign country, enjoy the adventure.

Stayed for two nights while on a tour.

This hotel is very attractive, well appointed, we stayed for four meals, 2 x dinner and 2 x breakfast.

The room was well appointed, and clean. As a bonus we got a non-smoking room.

Close to Cappadocia, quite a ways out of the town of Nevsehir.

Like many hotels in Turkey the air conditioning shuts down during the night, not the best sleep.

We stayed in thishotel as part of our Turkey holiday.

The location was away from any shops but was ideally located for a 2 night stay.

The rooms were quite compact but very tidy and looked quite quaint.

The restaurant meals we had were buffet style and were very good. Breakfasts were also buffet and catered for most tastes.

We were going ballooning so needed a very early wakeup call which was on-time.

A nice place to chill out

I really liked most aspects of this hotel. The staff were helpful and the room was very nice and had a cosy cave couch in which you could curl up and read. I stayed here for two nights and had no serious complaints. I didn't have a room overlooking the valley so missed the sight of the balloons across the valley in the mornings. It is a bit out of the way - but that seems to be the same for all the bigger hotels in Turkey. Main criticism - the lifts. Terrible. Slow, and sometimes they'd just sail past you even if empty! And the stairs are for emergencies only - they don't take you to the foyer - and are stacked with supplies. Dangerous.

Room Tip: Try and get a room overlooking the pool so you can see over the valley.

We had a two day stay, hotel is not on any main street. Rooms well appointed and dining had a display of Turkish delights. Lentil soup and 'turkey" go hand in hand. I have a new appreciation for the soup. A large outdoor pool. A note: The website says, free use of jacuzzi and sauna, not true, they told me $75? Our guide was informed that the owner turned his facilities into a fitness center.

We also visited the Gallip Pottery, sitting on the backside of the hotel location. Beautiful pieces of art. Our Martha Stewart has visited who is appreciative of the culture, lands and food.
"It's a good thing", please visit if in the area. The Wine Bottles are beautiful, a working piece of art. I landed up with an Expresso Cup and saucer.

We had one dinner at the Cave, literally, a very enjoyable evening. Be careful in your footing, its a cave chimney!

Room Tip: All 35 of us were placed on the third floor, cannot further comment, our rooms either faced the pool...

This is a very nice hotel but, like all the large hotels around Turkey it caters to the tour buses. That means the breakfast and dinner buffets are big, loud and busy. When a tour group arrives back at the hotel in the evening 40 people start speaking loudly in the hallways, banging doors etc. Same happens in the mornings.

Otherwise, the rooms are excellent and the staff all very friendly.

If I were in the area again I'd stay at a smaller hotel - one that doesn't cater to tour buses.

Older hotel. Staff very pleasant. Our quiet corner room allowed us to see the balloons in the morning. Meals were buffet style with a nice variety of dishes. Free wifi in the room was spotty, but maybe being at the end of the hotel created a weak signal.

This is one of our favourite hotel out of 7 hotels when we were in Turkey. The rooms were big, cosy and beautiful. There was a cosy sofa in a corner. Bed was comfy. Breakfast and dinner at hotel had a wide spread. Toilet was super clean and big. we really enjoyed this hotel and will definitely stay here in our future trips to Cappadocia.
