“Interesting hike”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 5, 2014

As a stop on a tour bus, it wasn't much to see, but it made for a very nice hike. I advise caution in that some of the trails faded into nothingness. Fortunately, my girlfriend is an experienced outdoorswoman.

“Caves”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 1, 2014

This was part of the Goreme Open Air Museum tour. I loved the Pigeon houses! We were there in winter and it was quite cold. This place would be better in the spring or fall.

“Coexisting Pigeons and People”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 20, 2014

Small openings in the cave houses, and thousands of pigeons co-inhabited the valley. The pigeon droppings were coveted manure collected for a much more richer harvest. It is not clear if their meat was also eaten, but unlikely given their god like presence. Part of the Green Tour of Cappadocia,Turkey.
