“Perfect choice for a stay in Göreme!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2014 via mobile

Emilys cave house was perfect!
We stayed in the stone room and found it very comfortable and warm (as it was winter!) it also had great views over the town and beyond. All of our breakfasts were delicious! We also got to have a peak at some of the new cave rooms they are building and the place is going to be even better for summer time!
A really lovely family run place to stay in a great location. I would without a doubt recommend Emily's cave house to any friends or family visiting Göreme.

First of all I wish there was more stars to give this place, emily's cave house which is owned by Mehmed and his lovely wife Esin, was like home to me and my family, Atila who works there was a member of that family too. We spent 6 nites there and did not feel for a minute that we were staying at a hotel, right form the moment of arrival. Those couple provede that humanity has nothing to do with nationalities, relegion or language, their human stand when I had an accident was really touchy, they spent the whole day with me at hospital running around to make sure everything is ok with me & family, can't thank them enough, not to mention their hospitality at their cozy cave house and the yummmy pottery kabbab Mehment coocked for us for dinner. should you visit Goreme, Emily's cave house should be you accomdation if you wanna feel at home.

What a fantastic place! I was treated like family the minute I walked into the magical little courtyard. Fresh peaches every morning.... and few more times through out the day... ;)

Mamhet, Isa & Atilla are the salts of the earth! They were so helpful and made a fantastic traditional Turkish Breakfast.

My room and bathroom were sparkling! I have never slept so well on holilday before. The bed was just like the one I have at home.

Only a few mintue walk to the center of Goreme. Perfect location for a perfectly sweet hotel.
Highly recommend this place to anybody wanting to visit Goreme, Capadoccia!

New hotel (it opened in August 2012) very well located close to the centre of Goreme.
We stayed in room n.4 which is a cave romm, the bed was very confortable and the bathroom has a great shower. Outside there are common areas with sofas where you can relax drinking a glass of wine or a turkish tea while waiting for the wonferful sunsets that only Cappadocia can offer.
A typical turkish breakfast is served every morning in the common area with tomatos, cucumbers, cheeses, olives, eggs, bread and marmalade with tea or coffee.
The staff is very helpful, you can always count on them for anything you may need, such as info and suggestions about Cappadocia, places worth to visit, tour bookings and restaurants.
Many thanks and a big hug to Esin, Attila and Memet.

Very well located: short walk to restaurants, cafes etc in Göreme. When we arrıved (by bus) we asked at the ınfo booth at the small bus statıon (very helpful and ınformatıveby the way) How to get to the Hotel and they phoned and we were collected a few mınutes later and delıvered to Emıly's. We were unsure what to expect staying in a cave but thought it was a great experience, an unusual place to stay. Room ( cave ?) was very comfortable, quiet (walls very thick), in July it was cool when outside temperatures were high 20s. Breakfast good, usual Turkish style bread olives, fruit etc but eggs cooked to order by friendly staff. Rooms clean and simply furnished. Management laid back style but there when needed and helpful with advice, suggestions etc.. Slight problem when paying bill by card in that difficulty contacting bank ( not fault of hotel ) so we had a dash to ATM to get cash to pay bill before getting bus to next destination so if you have an early departure or if you are in a hurry to leave I would suggest settling bill night before!

Room Tip: Choose a cave room, there are a couple of rooms not in the " cave" which are probably fin...

The Emily's Cave House is very well localized, very close to restaurants and shops. We got a cave room, the room was clean and it was very nice. The breakfast was okay and the owner was very helpful suggesting places to eat, visit and talking about the history of the place and city. It has a nice outside space to sit and have a glass of wine...

I've stayed juste one night with a friend, (in a double room) and we really enjoyed it. The staff and the owner was really nice and helpfull, the room was cute and spacious regarding the price we payed. The general feeling is that you feel taking care of and the place is very homy. I would recommend this place to anyone.
