“absolutely fantastic and awesome, 5 stars”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 7, 2013

Hotel kelebek is awesome. Never before have we stayed in a cave hotel and this was quite an experience and a very lovely experience that too. I was so much impressed with the hotel, the staff and the facilities which included hamam and sauna within the hotel, that in the future i will definitely stay in the hotel again and i sincerely recommend it to all. The hotel manager is a very lovely man and makes you feel right at home and at ease. The staff there is very cooperative and polite and always smiling. The rooms have fireplaces which in winter is very handy and the interior of the rooms are very traditional. Each room has its own charm. There are different kinds of suites also available in the hotel. The hotel has a lovely view of the whole town and even the valleys. The best part of the hotel were the hamam and sauna areas as well the lounge areas and the eating areas. Very cosy and comfy is how i will describe it. Plus chay or turkish tea and coffee anytime of the day in the restaurant and lounge are on the house. The breakfast offered was sumptuous, tasty and amazing. Everything freshly prepared and organic. Due to the hotel having different types of rooms and suites available, the prices vary according to that. In winter season, all the hotels give atleast 20% discount on the tariff if paid in cash. Even the tours which the hotel offers can be booked on discount if payment is done in cash.

Room Tip: carry good walking shoes

Kelebek is a lovely place with great service. We had a great experience and were well taken care of. Hotel helped arrange airport transport as well as a private cab for a day tour of some valleys. The location is great to be able to walk in town; the terraces are lovely and have beautiful views and the (complimentary) breakfast is delicious!

Look for rooms pictures in the website and choose what you like. The rooms look exactly like in the pictures. Only that there might be no nice view from some rooms' window. You have to e-mail the hotel for this information.

Facilities in the room are as mentioned on the website, includes free drinking water. If you get stone room, Wi-fi does not work in the room.

The bed and pillows were okay. Not too cold in winter since they have heater. The toilet is a bit too small.

Reception was nice and helpful. THey called the airline for me for free and helped me not to have to go to the airport too early.

The shuttle service to airport was good and ontime.

Room Tip: Room no.4 has great view without having to use long stairs. You have to claim up narrow stairs for...

Great rooms.. Awesome breakfast.. Warm and friendly people.. Had a very good time.
The only downside was their heavily priced inhouse hamam bath.. But no regrets.. I guess it was winter and they were short staffed.. Im sure the place is going to be rocking in the summers! Highly recommended :)

Our family had been traveling Turkey for about a month before we landed at Kelebek. We were immediately impressed when we stepped onto the property. The staff could not have been nicer or more helpful (despite being peak season and completely full). They were busy, but still managed to take the time to make us feel welcome and at home. Each room is different and unique. I enjoyed the Hamam (turkish bath) and booked a massage and facial too. The views were incredible--I would wake early and watch the hot air balloons hover over Goreme. I would go to the same spot in the evening and take in the night views and lights. We loved the place so much that we extended our stay two more nights. Although we had a car, we were able to walk everywhere. Many restaurants, shops, cafes and activities just minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: All the rooms are different, choose based on the number of people in your group. We stayed in severa...

My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights last March 2012. We picked a room in a fairy chimney and it was awesome. The hotel is beautiful. We did some guided tours from the hotel and they were fun. I highly recommend staying here.

Room Tip: Go to their webpage when booking because you can view all the rooms and pick the one you want. If i...

The staff was simply amazing. We arrived at 8:30 am after an overnight bus from Pamukkale (oh the horror, not really that bad). The bus drops you off in the town square and you go into the tourist office, they call your hotel and in 5 minutes they are there to pick you up. Upon arrival, you really feel welcome. First they apologize for not having the room ready (its 8:30 in the morning no way did I expect the room to be ready) and then they offer us breakfast and what a beautiful breakfast it is, breads and honey and olives and cheese plus they will make you fresh eggs and omelets. After breakfast our room was ready and after a short tour of the place which is absolutely stunning with beautiful views. If you don't go on a balloon ride, make sure to get up early and take pictures of the balloons taking off while you are eating breakfast. The rooms are just like the pictures on the website, you feel like you are in a cave room but modern with beautiful bathrooms. Plenty of hot water and nice showers. The staff was very helpful at booking tours and even gave us a drive up to the Goreme Open Air museum and to the Rose Trail. We did not get to use the spa, but hope to someday upon our return. Had dinner in the restaurant which was very good. Note I was only here for a couple of nights, but if you like the outdoors, hiking, biking or just like to relax in a beautiful setting it seems well worth staying a few extra nights.

Room Tip: Look at the website to see pictures of rooms, we were in one of the more inexpensive rooms which was...
