Friendly service and helpful. Akif at the reception was extremely helpful and friendly. Breakfast was good and they also served us Omelette and fried eggs as ordered without charge. Dinner was very average and not very good. We had to go out for dinner.

If you romanticize about staying in a cave hotel, it's about to get real at the Anatolian. We booked late and the Anatolian Cave Hotel was the only cave hotel available and now I know why.

The room they gave us had no ventilation and no natural light. I made the mistake of putting my hand on one of the "cozy nooks" other reviewers talk about and it was so dirty, my hand looked as I had just wiped off a chalkboard with my bare hand. The sitting area had pillows and cushions Turkish style but smelled of body odour. There was mold on the ceilings. Ok, I know it's a cave but it could be a clean cave with a fan.

We begged to change rooms to a room with a window and they moved us which we totally appreciated but even this room had issues. The closet door was broken off its hinges so it would literally fall off every once in a while. There is no shower curtain or door so water inevitably gets every where since its a hand-held shower head. The bathroom was not cleaned to the standard of an American 3 star hotel.

The staff are very nice but don't speak much English. You will not be able to organize excursions from the hotel. Reading past reviews, I think the adult owners were on vacation or its under new management because this place was run by youngsters, and by youngsters I mean teenagers even.

The property is located up on a hill so the views are great but for practicality sake, if you go into the town, you will need to make the trek up the hill every night or pay a taxi 10TL to drop you.

Don't use their airport transfer. We arranged for airport transfer coming in on a late flight @ €20/ person. "The driver will have a sign with your name on it" they said. He did, and he held the names of at least eight other passengers from different hotels. But there were still two seats available next to him in the front so we waited around to fill those seats. After making 4 other stops and stopping for gas, he took us to the wrong hotel. We arrived at our hotel 2 1/2hours later (no kidding). Oh, and he dropped us off at the bottom of the hill so we had to hike our luggage up a steep slope. We booked an airport transfer from a travel agency in town for our return flight and it cost us 20TL/person.

This property is affiliated with its more sophisticated sibling, Anatolian Houses, but I believe it was once a hostel not too long ago. Unfortunately, it's still run like a hostel but commands the prices of a 4 star hotel for services like laundry, spa, and airport transfers.

This lodging would be fine for budget travelers or people who are ok with staying at youth hostels but for the price per night, this hotel is not a good value.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our flight was late arriving Istanbul, we made the connection but our bags didn't. The staff helped us calling the airport many times until they got them delivered to the hotel!
The good thing about the hotel is that it is high up in the hills so you get nice views of the town and the balloons in the morning.
The room was a little small but what can you expect from a cave hotel, I really liked the experience.
The main reason this didn't get full stars is because the breakfast is very poor and same options every day.
Also the wifi only works in the reception...not sure if this is bad...you can probably appreciate being "disconnected" from the office for a couple a days.

We got a room with the highest most spacious terrace that looked out over all of Goreme. I was mind blown, sitting out there with a beer watching the sun go down… stunning! When I entered the room my jaw dropped. There were 3 tiers… complete with jacuzzi, napping bed and a queen bed… the interior had many nooks, perfect for candles… the perfect romantic place for a couple. There is also a restaurant downstairs and across the street. Breakfast is included and it was terrific! You also can't beat the price for what you get.

Room Tip: I highly recommend the terrace view.

We recently stayed in Anatolian cave hotel in Goreme, Cappadocia, Turkey and I must say that the experience was great. We stayed in a cave room and though I was apprehensive that it may be a really small one it was nicely sized and tastefully done. The hotel staff is also extremely friendly especially the guy who sits at the reception. They try to ensure that you have a pleasant and comfortable stay. All in all a good choice to stay in Goreme, Cappadocia. If you talk to the information centre near the Goreme Otogar they can talk to the hotel people to send a car for you. Also just 5 mins walk up the hill and you get nice panoramic view of the town and the valleys.

Room Tip: Ask for a cave room.

We stayed there for 2 nights.
At first it was very difficult to find as there are 3 other hotels with a similar name in the area n no one really new where that one was, no signs, very frustrating n we had to drag our luggage up the hill all the time in that hot weather.

No wi fi in the room n no ac. Really? For 100 euros a night?????? Very disappointing. Also breakfast was poor for that high price.

Bottom line - u just pay for the view thats it. But its really beautiful in other parts of goreme n u dont need to pay this much.

We have stayed in Anatolian Cave Hotel for one night because the comments here sound great. It is true that the room is a clean stone house with a quite comfortable bed and a 5 mins walk up the hill from the hotel you can see the whole view of the city. However, it is not a pleasure stay for us.
The hotel is on the hill with no any signage to tell you how to go so it is very difficult to find unless you can find and ask a resident, who is also difficult to find. It is also tired if you try to walk there from bus station.
The room is hot with no air conditioner and even no fan! The room temperature is different from the stone houses we have visited in the sites in Cappadocia. We sweat all night and couldn't sleep well although the bed is comfortable. The room has no wifi as well. Unlike the comments before, we think the service is bad there.
In the morning, we went to the restaurant for breakfast at 0940. The staff told us the breakfast was finished, but the breakfast time is 07-10am. They told us to walk down to Anatolian house(another hotel nearby under the same company )to have breakfast. To make thing worse, we didn't have the free shuttle service to the bus station which was requested a day before and confirmed again when we checked out on morning.Since we was taking the night bus to Istanbul, we have requested the shuttle to pick us up at 17:30.)
When we came to the reception again at aroound 1700, another staff told us no shuttle service available. We have told him that we have requested and asked him to confirm again and arrange the shuttle to us, he just said ok and then called a taxi, which charged us 10 lira for a distance less than 3 mins down the slope. We got a lot of luggages and the slope is hard to walk there, so we could just take the taxi and end this uncomfortable stay.
We have lived in total 6 hotels in turkey, all of them, except the one in Istanbul (because Istanbul is a big city), could arrange free shuttle service to pick us up and leave, a hotel with the similar price in Selcuk even provided us free shuttle to Ephesus( a historical site).
This is definitely the worst stay for us in turkey but with the second highest price per night!
