“Great Place, Great Hosts, Great Value”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed December 23, 2012

It's number one on TripAdvisor for a reason folks. It starts with the two amazing host combination of Hassan (father) and Osman (son). Their English is great, they are very fun and welcoming, and they have a wry sense of humor that is quite delightful! The hotel itself is very pretty, located up on a higher portion of Goreme for better views, and it's rooms are a combination of modern and antiquity.

Oh and the breakfast -- wow, great great eggs and great potatoes (ask for them!!!) We went during the winter so we couldn't enjoy the terrace but the view out of the windows was still phenomenal. Hassan took us on a half-day tour to show us the hidden gems of Cappadocia that we wouldn't have seen otherwise.

And the price was perfect. Why pay more for a different hotel that's no better? Just don't tell Osman if you're not a Galatasaray fan. He may turn your hot water off! Just kidding. They were tons of fun. And the hot water never stopped!!!!!! (Sorry for running that bill up, Hassan!)

Truly the best host to have at any hotel or accommodation I have stayed in all my travels (20+ countries). Osman was a very genuine host who would go out of his way to make our trip to Goreme a pleasant one. They not only helped us book our hot air balloon ride but provided their own personalized private tour of Goreme and the surrounding towns at a rate cheaper than all other tour operators. They also kindly dropped and picked us up from the open air museum and was always more than helpful in providing us assistance. The cave room was perfect for us and provided a comfortable stay in one of the caves of Goreme. Would stay here again anytime!!!

The only word of caution (that is not the fault of Vineyard Cave Hotel) - DO NOT GO TO THE 'Elis Turkish Bath' for a Turkish Bath....it is the worst bathing experience ever. The place is not very clean, showers/spa was broken when we visited (and they never bothered to tell us when we were inquiring), massage given was not 15 minutes long, staff were rude and not interested in serving the customer.

Apart from the Turkish Bath, do enjoy Goreme and the Vineyard Cave Hotel......thank you Osman and family for providing us with a great trip.

A friend of mine recommended this hotel and my stay surpassed my expectations. The hotel is beautiful and very clean on the inside and outside. The rooms are made in caves, but they also have modern touches. There are many pictures available of the rooms on their website vineyardcavehotel.com. The room had heat and hot water even though it was the winter. My whole family loved the delicious Turkish breakfast that was very filling. Osman and Hassan are very helpful and informative.

We planned two-day trip to Göreme. After hearing about Vineyard Cave Hotel and seeing the reasonable prices, we decided to stay here. Not only was this an opportunity to stay in the cave hotels, but you even get a private tour around the city. Needless to say our trip was a wonderful experience, all thanks to Hasan. Without his guide we would never have known half the places existed, nor would we have learned so much about the Turkish culture! We spent the morning and afternoon with Hasan exploring Cappadocia and learning about the Turkish culture. We even ended our trip overlooking the sunset over Cappadocia. The genuine kindness and care he has truly shows as he truly spends every effort in giving his customers the best and full experience during their stay.

As for the hotel, the atmosphere was great - a cave hotel embellished with Turkish decor, television, mini fridge, heater (for the winter), and water boiler. Did I mention free Wifi? We stayed in Room #3 with a queen and twin bed, one bathroom. Breakfast is included, delicious and homemade by his wife. If you want to immerse yourself in the Turkish culture and experience, I highly recommend staying at Vineyard's Cave Hotel. The hospitality of Hasan and his family was something our family will never forget. Better yet, what's better than a private tour with a tour guide who's an actual "cave-man" (as Hasan would say!)

Vineyard Cave Hotel was a great place to stay, as other reviews have suggested. The helpful staff were much appreciated. The place had hot water and is suitable for singles, couples and families. Vineyard Cave Hotel deservedly has a good reputation.

Our stay with Hasan and his staff was a wonderful experience. The Vineyard is a quaint small establishment that feels like a second home. My friends and I have lived in Turkey a total of 25 years between the lot of us; Hasan's Vineyard Cave Hotel is our first choice in Cappadoccia. Highly recommended and family friendly.

Room Tip: The top floor room has 2 bedrooms, 3 beds, and a wonderful fireplace and sitting room.

Agree with other reviewers - this is a truly special and lovely place to stay.
The rooms and spacious and classy, and the bathroom water pressure is good. Importantly in winter, the rooms are nice and warm. Breakfast is good as well.
Location is good, just a five minute walk from shops n restaurants.
Most of all, Hasan and Osman provide the kind of personalized touch that only a small hotel like this can give, asking what you are interested in and giving advice about good places to go according to your interests.
Hasan and Osman would drive us out and point out a good route to hike or walk around, and then even come back and pick us up. We enjoyed a private tour where. Hasan drove us around and told us stories of the place from his childhood memories as well.
Cappadocia is an amazing place, and even in early December, the weather was not too cold and it was relatively easy for us to get around.

Room Tip: We only stayed in room 8, which was lovely, but there is a high step from the sitting area into one...
