“Beautiful rooms and friendly hospitality”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed January 5, 2013

This hotel is wonderfully decorated with carpet wall hangings and brass embellishments in the bathrooms which were made of stone and very nicely furnished. We had booked a normal double room however the host Ali offered us the arch room instead which had views overlooking the courtyard at the front of the hotel. Together with the thick wooden door and bolt and the beautiful stone made rooms it was a great experience for our first time in Cappadocia. Upon our late arrival, we were met with insistent inquiries as to why we had booked our day tour and hot balloon ride beforehand and not through the hotel which was quite unexpected, however later understood that it may have been just the manner in which it was delivered which was a bit intense. Breakfast was nice, and the lady of the hotel was very welcoming and made amazing omlettes! We stayed a few nights in Goreme and as we came back in the evening to take the overnight bus departing from the town, Ali insisted that he call someone to drop us off at the bus station/otogar which was only half a minute away.
Great hospitality and beautiful rooms at Safran Cave Hotel.

We were warmly welcomed on arrival by all of the staff at Goreme Cave Hotel - in fact we felt like part of the family. Ali was very knowledgable and helpful, the rooms were clean and cosy, and the traditional breakfast was to die for. We would highly recommend a stay here for anyone going to Goreme.

We stayed during last week of December along with our 4 year old kid for 4nights. We had booked for a cave room which was way too beautifully decorated. Excellent interior, spacious room and bathroom with jacuzzi what more you can ask for. I don't think any cave hotel will be having such a beautiful cave room. Location of the hotel is perfect with walking distance to shopping area. Ali the person looking after this cave hotel will go beyond his way to help you and is always a call away if you need anything. The day we visited hotel we were offered tea and cake which one can least expect. Ali was very helpful in organizing our trip at a reasonable rate. Ms Dilek the lady in kitchen make very delicious food and breakfast was very good and different each day. I must say if anyone is looking for a stay in cappadocia go for this hotel. If I happen to visit cappadocia again, it's for sure I will be staying in this hotel.

Tour of Cappadoccia was one of the most powerful experiences in my life. A hotel in which we stayed met all our expectations and even surprised us.Warm and high level service, luxurious cave apartment, friendly and kind Ali, tasty and delicious breakfast, morning baloon trip - all of these super things are remembered in our memories forever!
P.S. for couples these trip and safran cave hotel - are best place to enjoy life together.

A super experience staying here: Ali looked after us so well, the cave room was terrific and also nice and warm on these cold December nights. Excellent location and the hotel added to the overall unique experience of visiting Cappadoccia.
Our guide Cingiz (sorry if I misspelled your name) also deserves our thanks for looking after us so well.

We stayed 3 nights in late November and had a great experience. I'll start with our arrival, Ali sat us down, served us tea, and welcomed us. I'm used to coming in and going straight to the room, but Ali set the tone for our stay. We had a cave room, which was fun. The room was kept very warm, nice after coming in from hiking around in the cold. Ali was helpful giving us useful tips and information, but no hard-sell. We ended up booking one of the usual tours, but the rest of the time, really enjoyed just wandering on our own. If you're at all adventurous and not in a big hurry, I'd really recommend just hiking through some of the valleys with a flashlight and you'll be well rewarded. Now to another highlight...the food was great! The best breakfast of our 4 hotels in Turkey. The 'chef' is one half of the owner/couple, and she made some great meals. She's very warm, and happy to provide a delicious meal. We did opt for the seemingly 'touristy' pottery kebab one night. The meal never ended! dish after dish after dish. It was all delicious. The location is great, but most places in town are pretty conveniently located. I really can't compare to any other hotels in Goreme, but we had a great stay. If I end up back in Goreme, i would not hesitate to stay here again.

Room Tip: There is apparently a room with a jacuzzi, it wasn't ours.

We stayed at Safran Cave Hotel in Dec 2012 and it was an awesome experience .The location is perfect ,walking distance from the shopping areas and for a nice walk. The staff were exceptionally good & caring . Dilcek the owner is an amazing cook and her Pattara Kebab is to die for. If you thought your mother was the only one who forced you to eat you are mistaken Ali and Dilcek will serve you till you are stuffed. Ali, the manager kept ensuring we are comfortable and regaled us with stories . Dilcek gave us trinkets as parting gifts. The rooms were spectacularly clean & warm . The bathrooms were big and a nice separate shower so the whole room does not get wet. Enough room in the bathroom to keep a suitcase and not mess up the bedroom. We came away with the feeling of being cared for & looked after and not just checking in& out of a hotel. Definitely recommended
