“DELICIOUS...on every level”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed July 2, 2013

It was a special day and my Husband wanted to celebrate in style. Keep in mind, style covers many aspects, to us it's the surrounds, food, wine and service. Everything on the menu looked delicious, for starters we shared hommus with fresh crunchy bread and Ichli Kofte, one of our favourite Turkish dishes. I selected the tender chicken breast, cooked to perfection and 'stuffed' with spinach and walnuts accompanied with steamed fresh local veggies, steamed rice mixed with sweet corn kernels...with a delicious sauce drizzled lightly over the vegetables. My husband was delighted to see Lamb Shanks on the menu and he wasn't disappointed....exceptional cuisine. The wine was chilled to perfection and the service of all staff, excellent.

We were also treated to a selection of local sweets with the mandatory candle and Happy Birthday from the staff. Highly recommend for any occasion.....the decor surrounding you, traditional stone, artifacts and flowered clay pots were on their own, an absolute delight. Thank you Hussein and staff at Seten, a birthday to remember.

“Delicious upscale Turkish restaurant”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

Delicious traditional Turkish food. This is a more elegant restaurant tho dress is casual and families are welcome. There is a beautiful outdoor arched courtyard setting for dinner, as well as indoor dining. Great way to spend a relaxed evening over a fine meal.

“Great Meal”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 29, 2013

The owners of this restaurant also own the Seton Cave Hotel. The food we had for dinner was absolutely excellent. My wife had the okra stew, I had the sultan kebab. Again, an absolutely exceptional meal. The red house wine, a must while there, was produced locally and complemented both dishes. There are several restaurants in the area, but by far this was the best restaurant we ate while in Cappadocia. A must while staying in Goreme!

The following is an excerpt from the restaurant website:

A mix of culinary treats and visual delights make the Seten Anatolian Restaurant a wonderful addition to your holiday in Cappadocia. We opened our restaurant in May 2010 with great success! Quickly becoming known as one of the top restaurants in the area, we offer a beautiful setting indoors as well as in the open-air arched courtyard.

The name “Seten” comes from the Turkish name for the ancient round stone mill used to process grains. In addition to a seten stone mill, we have an original cave room used for centuries to press grapes into wine. This room is now our Wine Cave Cellar and we continue to use this traditional method to make homemade wines – visit our Wine Cave Cellar for a local wine tasting experience to remember!

Savor local dishes, made fresh daily in the traditional method. Our menu offers delicious local appetizers, soups, entrees and desserts from across Cappadocia. Daily, the local women of Goreme prepare the special items such as Yaprak Sarma (stuffed grape leaves), Çiçek dolması (stuffed pumpkin blossoms), flat bread, soups, baked okra – all in the restaurant courtyard over an open fire, tandir or on traditional low wooden tables. We also offer traditional grilled items each evening. The special hanging grill technique is the same used for generations in this area. All of our menu items come from local sources – from the local women creating traditional dishes, to the locally made and farmed organic produce, and the home-made sauces and spice mixtures.
