“Very Beautiful View”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed September 14, 2011

Our room has a view to die for. No words can say enough. Ferdi and Yusak (I hope I spell the name correctly, sorry for the misspell) are so helpful and very friendly. We really had a great time. Would definitely come back.

Our 2 boys (9 & 11) still talk about Goreme Suites, and the wonderful people there. Unbelievable service (better because it felt genuine!). Our suite was amazing, with great views, and so comfortable. I do NOT tell a lie when I say how sad we were to leave, and that we still miss it. Hi Ferdi and Uchisar! You guys were superlative hosts and we thank you for an incredible stay. They greeted us with drinks, let the kids wrestle on the grass, brought us breakfasts which negated the need for lunches. They helped us arrange airport transfers, went with us on ATV rides, I could go on and on. I think the best example of their hospitality is when (by our own scheduling glitch, we had to switch hotels one day early! We were so sad (although they got the second hotel to give us a deal, much less than their usual rate, and still arranged things for us), but the morning we were leaving for the airport, Ferdi, etc. (plus the great folks at the Koza (?) Hotel also excellent) all waited outside with us at 7 a.m. and gave us such nice farewells (granted, they could have been glad to see us go, our boys do like to wrestle! ;-) I can't imagine staying anywhere else.

We came to Goreme after a fun but tiring sightseeing trip to Istanbul, and we were looking desperately ready for some quality R&R.

Goreme Suites was exactly what we needed. This place is an absolute gem. We have probably never stayed in a hotel as relaxing as this place.

On our first day, we were greeted by the hotel's fine on-site manager Ferdi, a friendly kind young man. Ferdi is a very nice man and very helpful person. Our bags were quickly transported to our room, and we were treated to a nice warm cup of Turkish coffee while arrangements were finalized.

Ferdi then immediately showed his resourcefulness in helping us make reservations and arrangements for the next two days, including hot-air ballooning trip as well as day trips to see Cappadocia National Park.

We were put in touch with a driver (for hire), who at a very reasonable rate, drove us all around the sites with a personalized tour of the different areas. In the evenings,

In the evenings, Ferdi would arrange the common living room area, liight the fire, and again offer us tea or coffee. One night, he arranged for delivery of some amazing Turkish pizza, which we were able to eat by the fireplace.

Our room (#4) was very spacious and clean, yet had a very homey feel. Though not a true cave hotel, the room had a cave appearance, with various lighting schemes for whatever you may prefer. Breakfast was allowed on the terrace, whereby you could see the hot air balloons make their daily morning flights.

The location of the hotel was great too. Perched atop a hill, it was ideal for seeing the valley and enjoying some peace and serenity. However, the city center is only a 10 minute walk away for any necessities you may require.

All in all, this was a fantastic place with fantastic, hospitable hosts. A superb experience worth every dime.

Ferdi is the man!

Room Tip: No spa/pool, not that kind of place!

We found this place by reading reviews and had expectations. But what we found exceeded all our expectations by 100 times. We arrived at 2.30 a.m. at the hotel where the cheerful and enthusiastic Ferdi was waiting for us, offered us a glass of wine and we felt at home straight away. Only the next morning when we looked out our window saw the unbelievable view. The 3 fairy chimneys right outside are just the foreground of the most incredible scenery of an other planet. That day the owner of the hotel! drove us around and showed
us some amazing, hidden treasures, told us about the history
of Cappadocia and gave us lots of tips. The generosity didn't stop there. We enjoyed the outstanding hospitality of this hotel for the next 3 days. As there are only 4 suites there the service was pretty much one to one, very intimate but never overwhelming. The rooms are very beautifully done and comfortable. The location is great, only 5 mins to the town centre. We loved it so much that we decided to get married there next year! HIGHLY recommended.

Goreme Suites has been the best place I have stayed in so far. The room was stylishly decorated, and so quiet that I had a brilliant night sleep. Fardi was fabulous assisting me to link in with tours of the area, the breakfast was incredibly tasty and the location is so accessible. Best of all....being woken up by the sound of hot air balloons drifting above the hotel in the morning...so close you can touch them. Absolute kodak moment.

Just returned from a fantastic trip to Goreme and we couldnt have asked for more staying at the Goreme suites. The B&B is up a steep cobbled pathway hill which is worth it for the views.Stayed in suite 2 (of which the bedroom is apparently over 100 years old) which was spacious and lovely decorated with turkish rugs etc with fantastic views of the fairy chimneys and valley. Watched an electrical storm at night over the valley and fairey chimneys from the comfort of the room. Our host for our 2 days was FERDI who was great and went out of his way to help us and make us feel at home making recommendations on things to do and places to eat, arranging transport etc. Ferdi's warmth and hospitality puts the icing on the cake of what is already a lovely B&B.

Its a 10 min walk into Goreme which has ATMs and banks, we ate at and recommend Old Cappadocia & my house for tasty and good value food (teste terracotta pot stew, pida, rice pudding, yoghurt all lovely), but we don't recommend the roof terrace restaurant up the steep hill opposite fat boys - expensive place but the chicken wasn't chicken and the rice pudding was served in aluminium foil dishes like it was straight out of the freezer !

We did the whirling dervish ceremony (interesting but expensive for what it was), an underground cave city, love valley, fairy chimney valley and a rug craft place, and the turkish bath in the town (an interesting experience worth trying).

Lots to see and do, felt very safe here, relaxed pace of life and beautiful scenary. Would like to return and would definitely stay at Goreme suites.
