“Small aber great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed June 2, 2013

I just had a Gözleme...the best ever. Friendly staff (I think, it was family owned, and family members worked, a real homemade cooking), nice atmopsphere inside and on the small terrace...nothing special, but still great.

“Warmth, Love and Comfort”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 30, 2013

The gift and presentation of good food is symbolic of love. The Cafe Safak doesn't just present food and drink, the intention behind Mohammed Aub's (Abbas) food experience is of comfort and love. Abbas creates delightful, affordable good food and drink. Within this rustic environment you really can purchase the 'best coffee until Australia' as claimed on one of his billboards and eat the best lentil soup that I, certainly, have come across. This lovely little restaurant is worth a visit, not just for the first time but, as I have done, time and time again. Any chance of more that Lentil soup, Abbas? Yum!

“Bakalva and ice cream”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed May 25, 2013

My husband wanted a real mocha so we went in for dinner. This place is great and bargain prices.
He had the beef pancake, he enjoyed it although said it would be better if they added cheddar. I had the Bakalva and ice cream which was fantastic.
Mocha was good like home. This cafe offers cooking courses and picnic packs (wish we did not see this on our last night).
Great meal at bargain basement prices.
Started outside but it was cool air so ended up inside.
