We had a large room which slept four comfortably. TV and a lovely jacuzzi bath and walk in shower. The location was great for getting around and walking. We booked a tour which picked us up at the hotel. Dervish recommended a couple of restaurants which we enjoyed. Overall we had a great stay. Very quirky place, not to be missed. We flew into Kayseri from Izmir which was very cheap and got a mini bus to Goreme.

We went to Dervish House for 3 days short holiday, we are living in İzmir/Turkey and it was our first visit to Cappadocia region. For the hotel we didnt have any idea but we were really surprised. Room is in the big rock, very fantastic and very big, very clean, totally different atmosphere than normal hotel, there are not to many room only 6-7 I think, staff is very friendly, for breakfeast you dont have to many choice but foods are delicious, hotel is located only 5 minute walk to Goreme center and 20 minutes to open air museum. A place to stay in Goreme

This review comes much later than our visit but then Their hospitality deserves recommendation and appreciation.
we were looked after v well esp by Cemal ,he took extra efforts to organise things for us since we were wth a small kid.v flexible and genuine suggestions..the room was nice ,loved the heating esp in the bathrooms.
Cemal made extra efforts to plan our days and would drop us to near by places if he could.v courteous.
the breakfast is great too..they let us use their kitchen for preparing meals for our 1.5yr old daughter..
I dnt think we cudve made a better choice in cappadocia..

we LOVED this hotel! it was very beautiful, stunning views, perfect location for exploring Goreme and just a few minutes walk behind the hotel is stunning valley full of rock formations. The room was absolutely gorgeous and really tastefully done, plus the room had a lovely spacious bathroom and jacuzzi bath. Compared to Istanbul the prices are very reasonable. There is a good choice for breakfast, the host wasnt as super-helpful as i'd expected due to previous reviews on this site, but we had a great time and I couldnt fault them on anything. We were visting just before christmas so goreme was very quiet, and i expect it would be quite different with lots more people in the summer. We were a little worried in advance that it would be cold staying in a cave hotel, but it was very cosy and never cold. Overall though, would highly recommend!

The Hotel is located up the hill from Goreme town, so it is nice and quiet and has fabulous views over the crazy landscape. A short walk further up from the Hotel brings you to Love Valley which is full of the Fairy Chimney rock formations and beautiful rose coloured rock faces. Next time I'll will make sure I leave time to walk through this valley as it is spectacular. Dervish the Hotel Owner is a gentle, helpful man. He organised our day trip to the Underground City etc, and the Turkish Night. When the usual Turkish Night venue was fully booked he booked an alternative venue in a neighbouring town and then drove us there and back himself (now that's service!). He also arranged transfers to and from the airport (much cheaper than getting a taxi from there) and the Hot Air Ballooning. It really was in my best interest to book with him and his company (Voyager) as they offered my daughter a free flight, make sure you book well in advance though; I didn't and then missed out on this special offer as they will fully booked. There is lots of variety in the breakfasts offered: eggs any style, french toast, and turkish, all served with masses of fresh bread and toast and home made jam. We stayed in the Family Cave which was fabulous, really atmoshperic, great subtle lighting and tea/coffee making facilities. We particularly loved the underfloor heating in the bathroom! Our cave was quite large, so if you are nervous of the smaller 'caves' book this room. The King size bed was great, but the 2 singles a bit creaky, so give them to the kids! I'd highly recommend this Hotel and will come again to do all the things we didn't have time for. Thank you Dervish for your hospitality, we had a great time.

Everything was fine with the hotel…good service…good location…very neat…at a reasonable price…

As our flight was delayed for five hours, they had to wait for us in the airport for long hours and that in the midnight…it was really appreciable…

The day tour, balloon flight, private tours….everything worked fine…

The hurry half day private tour in the owners’ car was good, covering all the sites we asked for and the food in the restaurant they took us, was very good…(all Cappadocia restaurants are expensive when compared to Istanbul)…

The final destination, where a vast collection of painted potteries and ceramic plates was displayed in a very good manner, was our only disappointment!!! The owner of the shop was very charming and impressive in his behavior, and he made us to buy a very attractive hand painted ceramic plate, at a cost of at least double the actual price (compared to Istanbul prices)…whatever be his claim…everybody in Istanbul also claim the same things…

Our humble advice to the travelers is... don’t shop anything at Cappadocia until you know the price of the thing at Grand Bazaar/Istanbul…Everything you can get in Istanbul…so don’t be in hurry…as we did…

Dear Dervis… thank you for all your services ….and you can expect a mail from me about the “honest” pottery maker…;-)
