“Fantastic hotel!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 20, 2012

The rooms were big and in the actual caves! The bathrooms were modern. The beds were comfortable, and it was right in downtown Goreme. The staff was very helpful and accommodating! And the daily included breakfast was awesome!!

1st of all, stay in Goreme if you go to Cappadocia. This is the town that has all of the fairy chimneys with restaurants/hotels built into them. There also is the "cathedral" and open air museum that are within hiking distance (you could take a day tour to see them or rent a scooter, etc). I HIGHLY recommend paying the extra money to see the "dark church" that is within the open air museum.

This little hotel has a great location and view of the town. It's quiet and a short walk from great restaurants, etc. Breakfast is the typical Turkish style. The room we stayed in was great with a remodeled bathroom. There is free Wi-Fi as most places in Turkey.

If you are going to use an airport transfer service from them, be sure to confirm one or two days in advance. There was a miscommunication and we thought there would be a shuttle waiting for us at the airport in Kayseri. There wasn't. The taxi ride cost around 210 Turkish Lira! Granted it was over an hour from Kayseri. Keep this in mind. Kayseri has cheap flights to/from Istanbul and the rest of Turkey, but it is far from Goreme, so plan on a shuttle that can be arranged through this hotel.

The family vacation was indeed most enjoyable. It's important to have a good tour guide who fills you in with information. Salim from Tourista was awesome. The family run hotel was neat and the brothers provided excellent service. I am really proud I chose the hotel from a list of hundreds of Cave hotels !!

Room Tip: The rooms are warm & nice and each has a good view. Higher floor the better if you can climb.

What a perfect blend of nature, history, comfort and heart touching Turkish hospitality. Onur was genuinely helpful and accommodating. Family provided with suggestions and tips to experience the best of Goreme. The stay in the cave room excited the imagination! My gratitude, best wishes to Yurdakul family. If I will ever in town this is the place to stay again!

Room Tip: You will enjoy the stay in ANY room!

An excellent place - family run, great service, beautiful cave rooms (recently renovated) and fantastic location - in town, but a little high up for an amazing view.
Our room was a beautiful suite, very comfortable, with all amenities. The breakfast is a simple buffet, but with 8+ dishes, traditional Turkish. The only thing that would take points off is that the coffee served is Nescafe! :( - c'mon, we are in Turkey!. Mustafa Yurdakal and his brother Onur will arrange all tours for you, from hot air balloon to a traditional 'whirling dervishes' ceremony. We did not have to worry about anything. Highly recommended.

Village Cave house hotel was such a great experience. We had trouble finding it at first as it wasnt well advertised but we asked a shop owner who called Onur and he came and picked us up. Its only a few minutes walk from the main street so it didnt take long. its on the hill so you get lovely views of Goreme and the rooms are very authentic and lovely.

the viewing point over the village is up the hill behind the hotel so it was only a short walk and they can easily arrange any activities you wish to do whilst you are in Goreme.

i will recommend this hotel to friends and famliy and its a reasonable price as well. parking was easy if you are driving.
