This was part of an all day tour and was a nice change of pace from all the other natural
attractions in the Cappadocia region. Every tour company uses a different color code for their excursions.
It is approximately 365 steps down from the main entrance and takes over 90 minutes to walk over to the other entrance to where our van was waiting which saves us from having to re-trace our steps and walk up the valley to the main entrance where most visitors are parked.
There is a rock church with some well preserved paintings a 1/4 of the way down the trail. A small rest stop with cute huts by the stream offering snacks, fresh squeezed juices and restrooms (1 TL) are located 3/4 of the way. We happened to see an older couple with a donkey half way down the trail. He was tired of all the tourists taking photos of him so the husband rolled up his pants and crossed the stream with his donkey and walked on the other side while his wife continued on the regular path. They met up at the rest stop.
It was a nice walk/hike in a scenic valley.
