I stayed at Efes Otel for three nights while I was exploring Gallipoli and the surrounding area. Efes was an interesting place. The woman who owns and manages it is very, very kind and friendly and speaks some English. The hotel is very clean. The beds are comfy. The floors are tiled, so they are clean as well . The bathroom was clean, but not exactly fun or relaxing to use. Like many places in Turkey, the shower is just set aside in the corner and isn't separated from the rest of the bathroom - water gets all over the floor. That written, the water pressure was nice. There is TV in the rooms and allegedly AC (the unit in my room didn't work).
The biggest issue is just that the walls are very thin. If you're there with just a few other quiet guests, it's good. If not, however, you are likely to have trouble sleeping.
A final perk: the location. It's exactly, exactly, where you want to stay in the city. Two blocks from the water, and right where all the shops and cafes are. In sum, this place is good, but not without some problems.
