Almost none of the advertised facilities worked. Fitness center, sauna, hamam etc were closed, wi-fi internet didn't work. The food was the worst ever! The personnel was limited and rude! Our room was not clean and the sheets had holes. We made the reservation from a site in the internet for 99 Euros per night and they've charged our credit card one month earlier from our staying in the hotel. When we were checking out they asked from us to pay 65 euros per night. I wonder iF the rest 34 euros was the commission for the reservation. Be careful!!!

This hotel must be the worst one I have visited as far as looking after guests goes. You are not allowed to have any drinks in your room including water. I bougtva large bottle of wTer to have during the night and was told I could not have it iny room for "hygiene" reasons. If I wanted water I had to call room service even during the night and was charged for it. The facilities are not free - the sauna and gym are 20 Turkish Lira to use. If half board you have to pay for drinks at dinner - about 4 TL for a beer and a lot more for wine. To be honest I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Service is poor and it is overpriced. It may have "4" stars but the service is one star and you have to pay for everything extra - all you get for your money is the room. It does not have a sea view and is in a busy street in the middle of a built up area. Save your money and go elsewhere!

Be sure when you prepare your trip to Kusadasi, to read description of the hotel. This is NOT a beach hotel, and it states very clearly that it is situated in the city!! And the Dabaklar IS in fact in the middle of the city- midibusstation approx. 100 mts, dolmuses just outside door(clearly marked Ladies Beach etc), supermarket just across the street. Market day wednesday in same street. Walk to marina approx. 15 min. Plenty of shops, eateries etc. 10 meters from hotel. Internetcafe(without sensorship) just across the street.

As for other tourist resorts in Turkey- the government has demanded hotels to have sensorship on their internet services. In Kusadasi it means that you can not use your facebook or read your news in your own language. Official explanation is- to prevent porn etc. It is not really logic as the hotel has Hustler Channel on tv (and its not pay-tv) with non stop [--]:-)- be sure to check if you bring your children. A tip- if you bring your own laptop you are able to pick up signal from Cin Cin cafe opposite the hotel- and there is not blockage..By the way- tv selection at hotel has 1 german , 1 italian and 5-6 turkish channels. No english.

The hotel has a nice look and is kept clean in public areas whilst cleaning in rooms is almost non-existing- during my week here I was left a towel some days, but the room was not cleaned at all and linen was not changed. A big let down for a nice hotel. I had to ask for towels and toilet paper a couple of time during my week.

Breakfast was typical turkish- eggs, tomatoes, cucumber, selection of bread, butter, jam, cheese, olives and honey. during my stay tea and coffee was free of charge. Breakfast was just fine.
Beeing out of season- I was served lovely dishes everyday for dinner- have absolutely nothing to complain about. some days times of dinner was changing without any information- can be annoying if you have plans for your evening.

It is true- the hotel has a sign saying you can not bring your own food and drinks into the hotel ( many hotels has that in many resorts) just means that you need to be creative- bring a big bag when you go out and make your purchases from supermarket less obvious.

Rooms have aircon, showers, comfy beds, furniture that still looks new and a lovely balcony. Remember, you are in the city centre and it is noisy- bring earplugs or book a hotel a bit further away from centre.

I found the staff at Dabaklar friendly and hospittable- most speak a bit of english, and the rest is solved with a smile and hand signs. just keep it simple when you ask for info, and be patient- they will help you:-)

If you want a nice beach holiday- you should book a hotel at the beach. The hotel has a small pool area- but it is a city hotel. Kusadasi, as such, is one of the better tourist resorts in Turkey if you ask me. busy but still charming. Efesus and Pamukkale are must sees, if you like a bit of culture.

When we arrived everything was just beautiful.Nice looking hotel with beautiful view on the pool, clean with very plleasend stuff. But that was just at first day.Later we realized that it isn't such a great hotel.Rooms were clean but room made didn't clean it for three days.Floor was dirty, full of sand and garbage.Bedding was the same for ten days ,they don't change bedding.Anyway, pool is working only to 6pm and after that they chick you out.Food is not allowed in the hotel so you need to eat their food which was not very tasty.Every day the same breakfast: Margarine, jam, tomatoes, olives, cheese, bread and that is all.For drinking you have black tea and nothing else, coffee is not free, it costs 3 euros.Dinner was a bit better: potatoes, olives, tomatoes, meat (veal), rise. For desert there was pudding, watermelon, and one of their national cakes. One evening they moved us on 7th floor for the dinner because the boss of the hotel had important dinner with his friends so we need to go on the 7th floor like a dogs.At the front desk they don't change euros so you need to go to the exchange office about 2km afar from the hotel. The terrace is small and tight and all terraces are united so you don't have your privacy. The location of the hotel is terrible. There are about 60min to the beach by legs and 15min by bus.Bus costs 2 euros in both directions and 20min afar from the center.Good thing about this hotel is the pool.It was always warm and clean and also empty.Second thing was the bar he is nice but very expensive. One drink is about 8 euros.Lobby is great with big television and that is good because in your room you have only 3 channels: cartoon network, hustler, and one of their channels.Than there was a big fish tank with many beautiful fishes. The toilet of the hotel was good and clean. For the beach i recommend Ladies beach, for the restaurant "May flower" they have great lasagnas. You also have their "doner kebap" for just 1 euro.anyway beside the hotel it could be wonderful vacation if you go there with person you're in love with.

The fist I didn't like to this hotel was the distance to the beach. There were more than 10 minutes... then the bathroom was a disaster it was dirty. We tried to clean it but there was limestone everywhere. Not to mention that a dead beetle was waiting for us in front of the door.
The food was terrible...potatos every day (if today it was ok tomorow the potatos were added). water mellon was ok
Another inconvenient was that we may not get in the hotel with food (they wanted to eat their food)
Anywhere the swimming pool was ok

  • Liked — the swimming pool
  • Disliked — the dirty bathroom
